Story.

15-year old girl shot her dad with an arrow because he grounded her and took her cell phone away. I'm pretty sure there's more to the story that that but we'll have to wait and see what else comes out of this.

More of a vindication that teenagers think they're entitled to stuff like cell phones.

Here I was thinking it was going to be a news story about a kid getting lost in the woods without a cellphone because his parents took it away thus showing that it's a bad idea to take your kids cell phone away. Instead it's just some idiot who shot her dad with a potentially lethal weapon. Lesson: Don't have dumb kids.

Parents these days do not know how to discipline their children properly...the end product is a spoiled, dirty mouthed brat with no correct sense of right and wrong.

Yeah, when I was 15 cell phones were the size of bricks and cost over a dollar a minute to use. Not nearly as convient as they are now.

Seems more like 'this is why teenage girls shouldn't be allowed phones in the first place if they get so overly attached to the things that they replace parents' if you ask me. Not that I think they shouldnt be allowed phones, juts that some people are crazy

Mhmm.

One of my coworkers has strict rules for his kids. Their cell phones stay downstairs on their table at night so they can't text in bed. None of his kids can create a Facebook account until they're 16. They can only play video games for one hour a day during the summer. They are pretty much well behaved. On the other hand, I run into so many kids who already have police records and are still in high school. You can see their parents pretty much don't discipline them and the results of the lack of discipline.

He'll let them play longer if it's raining; the hour limit during the summer is to get them to play outside more so they stay in shape. They do have a swimming pool and a nice neighborhood to play in. It's better than one of my old buddies; he wasn't allowed to play videogames on school nights at all regardless of if his homework was done or not.

You know it's a sign kids these days are not trained well when they swear and demand everything they desire.

Just last week I was rear-ended by two 16 year old punks with no driver's license.

And the bad thing is this story is not only worse but hit closer to home since my first sergeant had to travel to Georgia for the funeral. Girls like that are really giving teens a bad name.

She'll probably get life w/o parole given how conservative Georgia is and the fact that the death penalty cannot be given to minors

She must have thought it was her right to own a cell phone which here parents probably bought for her.
