Im a metalhead and am as liberal as its possible. The conservative metalheads usually stick to the more extreme genres of metal, like Black metal. You have Varg in your sig so you should know that I think.

Generalizing any group of people is goddamn stupid. There's just as many liberal metalheads as there are conservative ones. And sorry, but I don't believe for one second that you had no idea who the guy in your signature is.

I'm conservative, and I'm a power metal fan. But most of my other friends who I go to concerts with are either liberal, non-religious, or something else. We don't bring our political sides into it because it really doesn't matter.

Edit: And I hate black and extreme metal like they guy above stated most of us like to listen too. I like to understand most of the lyrics I listen to.

That's your opinion. I think most people believe in religion because of their ignorance. and learn to spell if you expect to be taken seriously. But that's just my opinion.

I find it to be the opposite. I don't hang around with "metalheads", but I can remember in high school, all of the "metalheads" were pretty liberal. But having said that, my favorite genre of music is rap and classic rock (and a lot of other songs from a lot of other genres... but rap and classic rock I listen to the most... and the Red Hot Chili Peppers). And I'm considered "conservative" or "right-wing". I'm a libertarian.

Dream Theater fans are probably liberalsd, Opeth fans are moderates, Converge fans are liberals, Mastodon is conservative, and the entire black metal population are probably conservatives( not putting Mastodon and black metal together) Old school Heavy metal is probably pretty liberal DivergeUnify

Im a metalhead and i am conservative, im not a nut job though -.-

I just dont enjoy when my taxes go to someone who wants to freeload. I will gladly help the poor, but not someone who doesnt work.
