Do you have proof of this? Like some first place medals from respectable competitions(i.e. NCAA track) because that is quite impressive if true. An entire movie was made about running a 4 minute mile.

I was going to mention this as well, but didn't want a PPPS in my post. 23 D1 guys have run a 3:45 1500 (I'll give them a generous conversion, probably closer to 18), so an NCAA medal won't be useful in this situation because championship races don't usually have a faster pace where people will run their fastest. But a school or name would be nice.
I was just insinuating that if he is that great of a runner, that he will surely have won some medals in some legitimate competition. Yes, a school name would be nice assuming this person is in the US. I went to highschool with a guy who ran a 4:15, and he ran at UTexas so it better be somewhere good.
Not sure how many invites hand out medals besides conference/regional/national championships. To illustrate my first point, the Stanford invite had 10 collegiate men run fast enough in the 1500 to convert to a sub 4 minute mile, if they had medals they would not have gone further than 8 at most. Not saying this is the case, but a medal wouldn't be that indicative, I'd much rather have a name.
