Of course I am. Why wouldnt I be? Im not happy with our current government but then our government isnt America. The citizens make up this country.

I have run across some people that are not, and I was curious to do a poll. And I agree with you about our government the last 8 years.
Yup. I like living here, and I believe in the ideals we were founded on even if they are not always followed properly.
Proud? Why would I be proud to be an American Citizen? I and anyone else who was born did nothing to become an American citizen. Pride should be reserved for accomplishments, not by things that were just handed to you. Be happy, being proud makes no sense.
I love this answer. I agree wholeheartedly. :)Of course I am. Why wouldnt I be? Im not happy with our current government but then our government isnt America. The citizens make up this country.

One can only pray that the pissed off at the world teens that voted NO will promptly remove themselves from this country if they still feel that way at 18.

And what are you guys doing about it? Nothing right? Diablo112688I wasn't aware that I had to do anything about it. I don't think that there is anything I can do about it anyway. I'm not complaining and I'm dealing with what our current government is, so I don't know why you're even asking me this.

Every country has had shameful events in their history. You should look at the strides the country has made to correct the mistakes it once made.
Well of course why shouldn't I be....kulmiyeI think taking pride in your country could be interpreted as being fascist, so people shy away from making these claims. I personally think the two should not be equated - it's rather silly.
Well actually I'm British citizen so technically I don't count but who cares if someone has "pride" in their country. It's how they feel, you can't take it away.think taking pride in your country could be interpreted as being fascist, so people shy away from making these claims. Well if you are unhappy with certain things, you could take some sort of action. Why deal with it as opposed to trying to improving the situation?
