Besides my forementioned bout of shopping frenzy, not really. I buy most of my games and movies used, I buy a lot of books at once to save money and, until the last few months, I hadn't really gotten a lot of music. Now that I'm single, I'm actually saving a hell of a lot more money. The question is, should I restart my Warhammer addiction? One of the more expensive gaming hobbies out there.

Have a few hobbies, and it is a bit "yes and no"
Electronics (tv, pc, gadgets, and such)yes, it is expensive, but rewarding and fun.
Cooking, no it is not that expensive, and it is both interresting and amuzing (just hate cleaning up afterwards)
Music, yes this is expensive, I like music a great deal, so going to a classical concert, is fairly peppered, and buing music in general is not that cheap (and yes I buy my music).
Movies, No not really, I like movies, not just as entertaiment, but also the workings behind the camera, and how a movie is built (cant remember the real word right now) Movies are pretty cheap in general, and good classics are often dirt cheap. Im currently trying to build up a library of "movies that changed or set a mark on cinema history), I like most kinds of movies.
Games, I like all kinds of games in general, both PC, Console, and board games, this is expensive, and also a mix of several other hobbies.
RPG, No, I like Role playing games, I like making worlds, and settigs, I like how you can get people inthralled in made up worlds, where they go a week untill next rpg evening, thinking about the world, and such.
Books, yes, like movies I also collect books, I do not like most easy reading books, but I DO like Philsophy psychology, history books in general, and I like books that has good themes, and messages to the reader, My favorite genres are educational books, sci-fi, fantasy, cyberpunk horror, and poems. A good book that is precise and well translated (altho I prefer the native language of the writer) can cost more then a game for a console or PC -.-

the pc game or the lil miniatures? I love the WH and WH40K universes. I love the pc games (Dark Millenium, FTW!), but I was really talking about the tabletop one. I like strategy. To crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of de vemons.Have a few hobbies, and it is a bit "yes and no"

Yes! I left out cooking and baking. One of my prime joys in life. Also, here's to good old paper and pencil RPGs, where the dice fly and people actually know what the hell THAC0 means.Have a few hobbies, and it is a bit "yes and no"

Havent heard that in awhile. From what i've seen they're pretty cheap really s there's very little on going costs after the initial down payment and they last quite a while. Going out every week, even a cheap night out will cost you about 2 50 inch plasmas a year.Electronics (tv, pc, gadgets, and such)yes, it is expensive, but rewarding and fun.

Who is the lovely female in your sig?Powerlifting. Not too expensive. $200 for a 3 year gym membership and then about $30 a month for supplements.

Heck yeah. Everything I do seems to cost something.
Shopping, Buying video games, buying books, traveling, Drawing and other artistic materials since I gotta have the fancy stuff.
I'm only 18 years old, the amount of money I spend on my hobbies is ridiculous. See for yourself...
1) Videogames. I don't buy them that often but they still cost me some $$$. I just recently bought the Playstation Move Bundle + and additional controller. With the additional RE5, it cost me $200. My most recent purchase was 2 copies of Dead Rising 2. This was so I could have LAN play.
2) Audio. The 5.1 speaker system in my bedroom cost me $1,350. The AudioEngine A5's for my computer cost $325. My Grado SR-225i headphones cost me $200.
3) Video. I just pitched in $300 so my parents could put a 50" Panasonic Plasma in my living room. I already bought a 42" Panasonic Plasma for my bedroom nearly as year ago, cost me ~$750.
4) Computer parts. I spent $1300 on my gaming rig about 6 or so months ago. i7 930, AMD Radeon 5850, 6GB of DDR3 1600 RAM, 1 TB Harddrive, 650 PSU power supply. I also bought a Core2Duo setup for my basement two years ago, cost me $700.
5) Smoking. I don't smoke cigarettes, but I regularly smoke something else (take a guess). Costs me about $40 per week.
6) Guitar. My Schecter Hellraiser c-1 cost me $800. My Fender Fat Strat costed me $400. My amp cost me $240. I'm surprised I manage to pay for all this.
Expensive...very expensive, I like all kind of gaming, so: Good pc and all next gen consoles + games (hell, I even bought a ps1/n64/snes a month ago for about 200 euros) and my second hobby: DJ'ing...I spent already alot of money on my decks, now add to that the money I spent in music (2 to 3 euros per song, my collection has around 3000 songs, so yeah)
:?
Keeping my PC up to date is a hefty price. Also buying games and music isn't cheap.
You buy music?!?! Hahaha that's a new one. It pays to be honest bigsexy :|Meh not terribly, games cost me some $, but trumpet playing is my main hobby. Trumpet playing is only expensive when you need a new horn, and even then it's pretty cheap comparable to many other instruments. My baby only cost me $900 (bartered down from $1400) and I feel it will last me for years and years. My dream horn costs about $7000 dollars, but they have financing since the horn takes a year to be hand made.
