I may be biased cause I was raised in an atheist family, but I remember in my 6th grade we had a replacement for musical class and the professor who replaced the musical professor was actually in charge of religious teachings in school. So she wanted to get to know us and asked me and 2 of my friends about our faiths. The 2 of my friends believed in Islam and they told her that and nothing, she didn`t say anything to them. When I told the teacher that I was an atheist she immediately made an example of me in front of my friends, telling them that I was in shackles because I don`t believe in anything. Talk about a peace-loving religion...

Irony
I don't see the irony. You can't really compare me making a thread challenging god's existence against a entire society that prints the name of God on it's money and swears it's leaders in by having them place their hand on a Chrsitian bible. That's just the US, there are other countries where you could be exucuted for non belief... Even if one tries to call my stance in that thread offensive, it's not nearly as offensive as someone thinking that I'm going to burn forever in the pit of hell if I don't believe in what they believe in. I'm an atheist myself But the irony is in your gripe with religion being forced upon you with little regard for your personal beliefs And, to an extent, you do the same thing in that thread
