Reminds me of my Lost Seasons 1-3 marathons and Naruto episodes 1-150 I watched nonstop, I can't do that again! I thought it was good, but I went from a 13-14 year old watching cartoons to a 17 year old watching sports and science/discovery channel so I lost track of it.
anime is far better then anything we have over here that's Japanese cartoons for people that live under rocks i could name 3x as many anime shows i like then cartoons i like or maybe 10x as many my favorite animes right now are bleach, naruto and magic knights rayearth hoping to get the last one for my birthday
i agree it is the best animated series in a long time. i to was a fan of it but then i changed TV company and lost track of it, that was one of the biggest mistakes ive made in a long time
It was pretty damn good. Though I agree w/ the person who said there will never be another Batman: The Animated Series. 2 different genres of cartoons though, so it's best not to compare them.

I can guarentee you haven't watched more than 5 episodes. Just because you grew up on classics, doesn't mean you should close your mind to a new era of cartoons. A lot of things that would never have passed as entertainment, or survived on TV in the "golden age" is now mainstream. You're missing out.

HOW?! Everything in Avatar was based off of Indian and Chinese philosophies and arts. Naruto is nothing but a cut and paste anime for younger children with characters that serve only as anime cliches. Naruto is an a prime example of how NOT to make a quality piece of entertainment. Avatar strives to create deep characters that are grounded firmly in reality while at the same time possess mildly unrealistic powers. Bending is also much cooler than chakras or whatever Naruto uses.

The *ninjas* in naruto are not ninjas! They dont sneak! They BS their way to victory with cheap powers and shallow character motivation.

Um i relize all of that...I wasnt being serious but ok....
And to call Naruto crap is an opinion, just like saying that avatar is good is an opinion. And there is no way in hell that this show is for little kids, that is generalized anime BS. You have obviously never seen more than 2 episodes of Naruto, and Naruto has some very deep characters, and deep themes. Granted the focus is very much on fighting, but that does not detract from the depth of the story and character elements.

I know, i'm happy i grew up in the good cartoon generation. all the new stuff sucks.
I liked the show overall, though a lot of the dialogue made me want to throw up. If they had done a pg-13 avatar with serious characters and some legitimate violence, that would own so hard. That was actually my one and only beef with the sozin's comet episodes...

Haha, my old roommate would always tell me to start watching that, but I never got around to it. Guess it may have been some subconscious bias that it was a nickelodeon show...
He got me to start watching Bleach, though I gradually stopped watching it.
