With the success of The Dark Knight, I am quite surprised that Christopher Nolan(the director of the re-boot Batman franchise), hasn't committed to a sequel to The Dark Knight. For one I can agree with his state of the franchise-- because The Dark Knight was an undeniable success, and perhaps one of the best movies I've watched. But looking at the first two-- the quality in both titles, I realize that Nolan may have a hard time topping both movies.
But my question is to Batman fans, if Nolan decides to make the third installment should it be the final of the franchise, and if so what would you like to see in the third installment? I am unsure how Nolan would make Batman work in the third movie, or what type of character he would become because at the end he had Commisioner Gordon call in the cops. And what villians would play a role in the movie.
Personally I hope Nolan decides to come back along with the cast for the third movie. No one could finish his vision except himself, and he commited to the franchise by making the two movies. I think it would be proper if Nolan came back for the third movie. I would also like to see the conclusion to the franchise, as they are often ruined with too many sequels. I wouldn't expect the third movie to be as good as The Dark Knight, but I would be satisifed with a great movie that ends the series.
