Just got in from watching it. NOT a bad movie. Actually entertaining.

I'm surprised I need to say this but lots of bad movies are entertaining. In fact, some of the worst movies are some of the most entertaining.

I'm surprised I need to say this but bad and good are subjective.

No, they're not. I'm surprised, 200 years after Modernism tried that rubbish relativistic nonsense and completely failed, we still need to say this.

Of course they are. He's stating an opinion. Nothing more nothing less. And for the record I've never found a bad movie to be entertaining. So I disagree with his initial statement though he's welcome to his opinion.

There is a MAJOR difference between stating a subjective opinion and criticism of aspects of an entertainment medium.

Well an opinion is subjective, so I don't understand what a 'subjective opinion' is. In order to make an opinion, you must infer from objective facts.

What you were trying to say is 'bad and good are subjective [and therefore you no one can be either right or wrong, ever.]'. That's preposterous. You can be.

Here is an extreme example of a bad opinion:

'I thought Batman v Superman was a good movie because the weather was clear that day and there weren't many people at the theatre'. Unless you have a super low IQ (and yes, people like this do exist, though very rarely), I should not need to explain why it's a bad opinion.

Here is an extreme example of a good opinion:

'I thought Batman v Superman wasn't a good movie because the plot, pacing, and characters weren't fully developed, and Zack Snyder continues to show he is incapable of handling subject matter beyond comic-book action; since his days as the director of the mindnumbing bro movie 300, his movies have continued to overwhelm him as the themes got heavier in Watchmen, Sucker Punch, and Man of Steel.'

-

I didn't make any of this up. You can take a rhetoric, logic, and philosophy course in college or university. I went to a Catholic school, so I've known this since I was 15. You can have right or wrong opinions, and they can form good or bad opinions.

The crux of your crisis lies in whether you like what everyone calls a bad movie. To that I say, eat the frog. I like bad movies like the Fast and Furious franchise, or the Transporter franchise. I know they're bad. I don't give a damn because I like alpha males and hot chicks. I don't need to try justify why they're good movies, because they really aren't, and I'll take it on the chin.

P.S I haven't seen the BvS movie, nor intend to. I'm just parroting the common consensus.

@FrozenLiquid: Youve got to see it mate, their aint many movies like it. This movie fears nothing, it hits on all types of touchy subjects. It might have pacing issues, and the fighting may not be all that, but this movie is what this industry needs.

In this movie you wont see thousands of people cheering for Superman when he takes the skies, youll see thousands running for their lives.

You are really stretching here. First off whether Batman v Superman is bad or good is nothing but opinion. You can tear apart or build up any movie to suit one's opinion. And your first example was just horrendous and had nothing to do with the movie itself.

Appeal to authority is a piss poor argument by the way. There are good reviews as well...reception is all over the place. I will say this. You have to know a bit about the subject. You have to pay attention as the story jumps. You have to rid yourself of your personal history with the story. That seems to be some of the reasons for some poor reviews. Which is opinion. Which means appealing to the opinion of someone who writes a blog or what not is silly. But hey....follow the crowd man. The world needs followers.

Also by parroting the common consensus and posting in ignorance does nothing for your stance.

I enjoyed it, despite what others said about it. Better to watch and see if you like it instead of letting others decide for you.

@KHAndAnime: True enough, prefer Episode III over Force Awakens. Likewise Jurassic Worlds ending which turns into WWE with dinosaurs is sort of awesome.

Having said that! this movie was boring as shite.

81% 1st Friday to 2nd Friday drop, one of the largest among supposed blockbusters in history. China is already pulling it, and all the major foreign markets have already screened it. It will be lucky to cover it's budget. At this point Warner bros has to be debating whether to pull the whole justice league project. At the very least Snyder is getting shit canned.

They want the movie to fit in with their ideas. And I'd imagine not many critics have a clue about the source material.
