Why not?I'm assuming it's all about inherent abilities instead of what abilities a certain item can give them. I mean Sauron was already badass powerful before he made his One Ring. The One Ring just enhanced it further. So, it would go down to whose inherent abilities are better.
Sauron: powers granted to him for being a Maia
Voldemort: magical abilities learned though I would say he cannot use a wand since that is an item
Palpatine: use of the dark side of the force
xaos: powers of disrupting order though he will need to remove the pimp yellow hazmat suit since that is an item
I have to go with Sauron with this fight, but not even if they all combines there powers can ever stand a chance against the all mighty Abaddon.
He beat a god in to a coma for freak sake, these guys would be doomed against him.

I sure hope you're not speaking of the Despoiler. He's quite the wannabe Horus.

I don't know much about Sauron, but I do know that Palpatine is capable of kicking ass on his own, yet preferrs manipulating others into doing his bidding. He could get Voldemort to take out Sauron and then lop his head off. Plus he controlled a galactic empire, which is a feat that neither of the other dark lords can match.fidosimyeah but like i said in my first post Voldermort has an army of Dementors
Ringwraiths>Dementors
Ringwraiths>Sith>Dementors ;)Palpatine would win. For starters he is a master of the various lightsaber forms so his swordsmanship is probably technically greater then bot of his opponents. Futhermore whenconfronted by some of the most celebrated swordsman in the Jedi Order in Episode 3 he quickly dispatched of three of them and one was only able to stay alive because of his unique lightsaber style. If we are talking about Palpatine in his prime (which is in the Dark Empire comics) then this man was able to move faster then the eye can see so ringman and snakeman are pretty screwed. As for ranged attacks we all saw Palpatine decimate those senate pods in episode three and Palpatine also has Force Lightning in his armory. Again if we are talking about Palpatine in his prime then he has Force storms (virtually worm holes) so his opponents get whooped even worse. If we include theirminions then Palps kicks everyone's butt because he has the resources of an entire glactic empire which include 25,000 star destroyers each one capable of obliterating his rival's minions through orbital bombardment.
[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]You're always up in our grill with Captain Falcon. >.>Actually, now that I think about it...
Captain Falcon would win 8).

And Clint Eastwood 8)
I'm having trouble arguing against any of these guys since they are all so cool. Let's break it down Sauron had an awesome opening but lets face it he is basically an eye for the entire trilogy granted an eye that controls entire orc armies but still you don't really get to hear a lot from him and really develop your hate for him he is just a source of raw power that happens to be evil. Voldomort is evil and scary for crying out loud peopledon't even like to say his name and for good reason he (or his followers) willmurder youin the middle of thenight. Also he has his horcruxes which he will eventually twist somebodies mind into bring him back once again and whats more he will find away to come back even more powerfull than last time. Finally you have Palpatine who is both evil and can get enough people to follow him to take over the entire universe and he can shoot electricity from his hands bt considering his own subbordinate brought about his death I can't say he is the greatest evil villian.
I'm going with Voldemort as he is the perfect mix of power, fear and evil that really let us know he has to go down no matter what. Also his soul is tied to more than just a ring he has seven different things out there keeping him alive.
No, no, no. First of all, it doesn't matter who they command or how scary they are. This is a strait-up fight to the death. Now Palpatine we can immediately discard because he has no way of stopping Avada Kedadvra and he would stay dead. So it comes down to Voldemort and Sauron. Now both of these guys can not be defeated without destroying the objects that hold them to life. So since three seventeen year olds managed to destroy the majority of Voldemorts Horcruxes I'm sure Sauron could do it. However, there is no chance in heaven or earth that Voldemort would give up the power of the ring.I'm having trouble arguing against any of these guys since they are all so cool. And please excuse my ignorance, but why would sauron not be affected?
Oh yeah if the guy in the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring destroyed Sauron by cutting his fingers off with his sword I'm sure Palpatine could do the same I mean he has a lightsaber
Sauron is immortal (destroying the One Ring merely banished him from Middle-Earth). The other two aren't. Therefore, Sauron wins.
Voldemort can't die with the horcruxes in effect :twisted:auron_16Oh yes, his cheap imitations of the One Ring. They might keep him from dying, but they won't save him from being rendered powerless while Sauron works out a way to destroy them.
First of all, Sauron would smite him before he could. Second, if he managed to slice off the Ring Sauron wouldn't be dead. That's his ace in the hole, the One Ring to Rule Them All. You see, if either Voldemort or Palpatine cut it off they would keep it for themselves instead of casting it into the fire. Then the Ring would find a way to betray them, have theme killed, and return to it's master. Sauron simply can not be beaten by but someone so selfless (frodo) that they can destroy the Ring.Oh yeah if the guy in the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring destroyed Sauron by cutting his fingers off with his sword I'm sure Palpatine could do the same I mean he has a lightsaber

Actually, I think Palpatine would have an awesome chance, seeing as how a human almost put sauron out of business and a silly hobbit finished the job. :P
Hey, that wasn't just any human. It was the King of Gondor man!!!! Nobody messes with Gondor. Sadly, I can't think of an excuse for the Hobbit part:(.

Ugh...excuse me Head of Games, but Saurons greatest fear was that it would fall into the hands of someone who could weild it properly. If Palpatine got it or Voldermort did, they would overthrow Sauron and we'd have a new Dark Lord. It was pretty much one of the few flaws with putting most of your power into a ring.

Also, don't forget that Sauron isn't just some tall dude in armor. He has other powers that make Palpatine look like an arthritic circus performer.
Without Horcuxes, Lord Voledmort is just your average wizard tool that can (and was) defeated in a single spell.DeathScape666
As much as I defended the Harry Potter universe in the other thread, I will almost agree with you in this regard.
Voldemort was just confused. Scared, really.
I mean, he WAS very good at mind control and reading minds, but even Snape could block him from reading his.
He could not outduel Dumbledore (but Albus DID have a special wand).
Voldemort's greatest skill was inspiring people to join him and do his bidding. Since armies don't count in this, he would probably lose.
Horcruxes aside, of course. Well, assuming the others can dissapear and fly like Voldemort can.
