Ok, EVERYTHING is emo unless it involves some sort of drum or electric guitar solo and isnt about someone killing themselves. There. Except for Stairway to heaven by Led Zep.

I dont think emo songs have guitar solo's? Do they? Its usually just someone strumming very loud and singing about their everlasting pain, they try and make it sound rock but it isnt. Its just sad sad music that rots our brains. I say we bring back the 60's somehow when music was more sensible.

I don't think you yourself know what emo music is. Let him like what he wants to like, and act how he wants to act. Controlling someone will make them rebel more at a later point in their life. I prefer the scene kiddies/emo kids to the goth kids and anime kids that plagued my life growing up. As long as he isn't physically harming himself and has friends, you should not care.

And saying someone likes My Chem and FOB is the same as someone saying they like Linkin Park and Nickelback, imo... It's just popular radio music.

Because everyone thinks emos all cut themselves (which they do) and now if children want to wear the fashion then they usually feel pressured (right?) to cut themselves?
