So he's 9 now and starting to follow music a little more and I think he's headed down the emo trail. I've tried showing him bands ranging from AC/DC, Van Halen and ZZ Top to The Rolling Stones and Eagles but he doesn't like 'em. He likes bands like 3 Days Grace, Papa Roach, Fall Out Boy, MCR and so on. Is it too late for him?PsychoT4PrezSo, he has his own tastes. Get used to it.

thats your problem right there.
I recommend you let him listen to some early-90s rock; Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Nirvana (should appeal to his emo side), Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Also, try some classic rock. Ive never met one person that did not like Credence, Lynard Skynard, Jimmi Hendrix, and others.
Also, try Radiohead.
But I agree, you should be very concerned.
i used to listen to those bands when i was younger. let him age, he'll learn the difference between crap and the good stuff in due time. give him a few years, its just a phase

i can conclude that he is becoming emo gay but you can still save him. you have to make him drink a very hot cafe (no milk) with an egg on it, and he will become normal.
I make my bro ( whos 5 years old) listen to Led zepplin, elvis, The cure, red hot chillis. etc etc.. and he likes it :)
but i think that your bro is lost already :( shame on you, you should ve teach him before
[QUOTE="Lonelynight"]Just don't let him cut himself, and if he says life sucks, beat him up and educate him on how other children in third world contires live.Hinata237
It doesn't matter how other people live. Everyone has pain, everyone has a different threshold of pain. It doesn't matter if you live on the streets or in a mansion, you can still have depression.
