It's because a lot of bands copy other bands so you have like 9 copy bands and then you have the original band. All of these copy bands make the originals not seem so original anymore, but we know they are. ;)

Im sorry, but 2000 is the year of emo, pop, and hardcore. emo sucks(people and singers get annoying), pop sucks(good songs get radio recycled like a tin can) and hardcore is just like an improved version of emo, still kinda sucky, but not good enough to go yeah they rock, and everyone knows they rock. Look at Metallica, everyone knows they rock, look at these other bands, the most well-known band to come out of these years are either the killers or fall out boy, pop rock that threw the bands out in the public. I think some of their songs are ok, but EVERYONE knows who they are and at least one song they'd rather not sing by them.premier111

Killers are my favorite rock/pop band.

I was shocked by some of the bands mentioned. I am glad to see that Nightwish has a following cause I like them. Not going to say they are the best current day though. (Haven't heard or seen them live.) As for some of the other bands mentioned, not going to mention any names, really didn't think anyone would ever mention them.

porcupine tree is my favorite band and will be forever but the mars volta recently released a new album.
