If I had to pick one I suppose I could settle with "The Passion of Joan of Arc" as it still hits me very hard emotionally every time I watch it.

Did you see the Joan of ark film with Milla Jovovich that Luc Besson directed? Its not great but it has some nice visuals.

How do you get your hands of these films? I really want to watch that and The Devil Probably. Just a question have you seen Out 1? If you answer yes I will be very angry. :P

Just the whole faith intertwining with madness element to it, it's entertaining trying to decypher the visions. :P And yeah, the visuals are pretty neat too. my favourite movie of all time would be 'meet the feebles' i guess.

Is Out 1 the French film from 1974 or the one from 1971? I remember seeing one of those a while back. The one I saw was directed by Jacques rivette. I have a video rental place near me that specializes in rare or out of print films.

I could understand that, if I had a chance to watch the film it would probably take me more than one seating...[QUOTE="Jazz_Fan"]Now how about The Day the Clown Cried? :PFilm-Guy
That's the one that Jerry Lewis starred in and directed about the nazi clown right? I heard about it, sounded very dark. I thought he was great in King of comedy.
Yeah it's impossible to find.[QUOTE="Film-Guy"][QUOTE="Jazz_Fan"]Now how about The Day the Clown Cried? :PJazz_Fan

Yeah it's impossible to find. Which is a testament to its greatness?IMO, the most iconic movies are the Star Wars saga, Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Dark Knight, etc.
But in terms of the best overall movie, I'd say Memento.
If by flawless you mean boring as bat ****, then sure.Either the Godfather or 2001: A Space Odyssey. Both these movies are flawless.

I'm going to go with Saving Private Ryan.

Dump the bookends and this is a great movie.1. The Passion of Joan of Arc 2. Andrei Rublev 3. The Seventh Seal 4. Stalker 5. The 400 Blows 6. Winter Light 7. Seven Samurai 8. Battle of Algiers 9. Fanny and Alexander 10. Zerkalo.Jazz_Fan
I was super into Stalker- until the movie got all philosophical with the dialog, then subtlety was thrown out the window. Very dissapointed.

Gladiator's retarded little brother? :|
LMAO, yeah and half naked with a waxed chest. This movie is like the Hee Man cartoons on film!Admittedly, the action is alright and the technology was groundbreaking, but everything else? Laughable.
