Umbrella term "indie rock" was the best movement of the 90s.

Apologies for the vagueness.

I cant believe I forgot to mention Pavement, The Archers of Loaf, Dinosaur Jr., and The Afghan Whigs. Anyone else into those bands or am I mentioning bands from the wrong decade?Film-Guy
Dino Jr rules so hard. Seriously, best band. Seeing them this summer was amazing. J. Mascis shredded my face off.

Great band, but the were the best in the 80's. They could still count for 90's stuff, but their 80's material is beyond anything else.

*edit* I'm jealous of you for seeing them.:x

90s stuff wasn't Dino Jr. It was pretty much J Mascis and friends.

Grunge, Shoegaze, Alternative, and Trance were the best movements.
