Agreed, I've never made one. They have no utility to them. I think it's lame if you can't make your point on your main.

To escape any established expectations? To create unique characters? To have fun? Not everyone finds themselves afraid to switch accounts just because it means they can't max out irrelevant and vapid numbers like user levels and post count. I must say I find myself on the other side that wonders why others find it to be such a big, excuse my language here, damn deal.

Or to not make their main not appear to be associated with less positive attributes.....

The love fest between certain users. Sometimes threads get hijacked by two users for two pages. A couple posts are fine, but either use the messages, or go to roll call.metallica_fan42

That does happen in quite a few threads....different users though than in this thread.
