In today's PC enviroment, some troops are actually afraid to defend themselves in certain situations out of fears of being court-martialed anyway because they can't prove it was self-defense.

*sigh* I don't want people deciding for to steal classified documents because they are butt hurt....or want fame....or want money. If you think some egregious has gone on.....the chain of command does work. But that video is only a small part of larger picture and one that doesn't show what happened or why. Believe it or not....if the military finds soldiers acted against military rules of engagement.....they do get punished. Silly civilians that only know of war from video games.

And yet it was Prviate Bradley Manning who revealed to us the true horrors of war... unlike American nationalists who think of war as just a video game and real human lives as just NPC's to be mowed down...

Serves the POS right. I still can't believe idiots think of him as some hero. He just started carelessly dumping all the classified info he could and on top of that it wasn't anything that was of any importence to the American public. At least with Snowden he did the public a service by exposing invasions of their privacy. Manningdid nothing of the sort and quite frankly I think he is more of an attention whore than anything....

So much stupid in this post....

Anyone who doesn't think war is horrible is likely too young to even understand what the concept of war is....

And yeah, all of us 'Mericans just wanna grab a M16 and shoot us some towelheads!

Seriously the amount of racism against Americans that just gets accepted around here is disgusting. How about we start judging other countries based on their worst common denominator considered everyone likes to act like Americans are all big dumb gun loving hicks?

I think what he did was good....but offloading nearly a million docs to wikileaks, especially all at once, was a weird and silly move.  I like the way snowden and greenwald handled it better.  There's never perfection, but you can try.

Plus the average american doesnt know shit about manning or his leaks...snowden leaks his stuff slowly, every week or two, and gave copies to his buddy to also leak them slowly over time, keeping people focused on them and actually reading their documents before choosing what to leak

Pull your head out and come back to reality. He didn't show anything. His goal was to steal classified info....he didn't even know what he was taking....because he was a sad, pathetic piece of shit. What he showed was unfortunate....but does happen in war.....to every country in conflict. It was not intentional. No one thinks war is perfect. But we don't pretend motive where none exists. Some parts of the trial were classified, so unless you was actually in the courtroom during those classified portions you can't say for sure what the total effects are.

He's a guy.

He can lie about it, but he will always be a guy.

People can lie about it with him - he'll still be a guy.

People can get angry at the people who refuse to call him a girl, and call them names like *** phobic - - - he'll still be a guy.

Period.

No, American nationalists are just butt-hurt that Prviate Bradley Manning helped expose your country's genocidal war crimes in Iraq...

If Americans truly understand how "horrible" war is, then why did so many of them support wars and policies that led to the extermination of millions of Iraqis over the past two decades?

Sorry, but if there's any "racism" here, it's from the American nationalists who supported their government's actions in Iraq...

Oh please, spare me your pro-American nationalistic nonsense... What your country did in Iraq was nothing short of a genocide. I commend Private Bradley Manning for having the courage to exposing your country's war crimes to the world. I have way more respect for courageous "traitors" like Bradley Manning than nationalist cowards who refuse to condemn their own government's crimes against humanity.

he will still defend america because they are fighting against "Terrorizts".

and TBH these Terrorists are basically Freedom Fighters who are pissed because Nato bombard their houses.

Private Bradley Manning is more of an American patriot than those American nationalists "defending" their government will ever be... The difference is that Bradley Manning loves the American people, enough to let them know what is happening in their name, whereas American nationalists would much rather bend over backwards for their government and continue to keep the American people in the dark... The real patriots are the ones who are willing to criticize their government when they do wrong, not the nationalists who bend over backwards for their government.

Snowden doesn't seem to have ulterior motives. Manning was apparently in trouble and it seems he wanted to give a middle finger before he got fired.

The true irony is that those with anti-American biases love coming to an American website to spout their rhetoric. Why not just go to a website that would enjoy it?

Bradley Manning now wants to be referred to as Chelsea Manning and wants to start hormone therapy as soon as possible.

Someone was nice enough to change his name on his Wikipedia page.

Does Manning really think the military will pay for that? Good luck trying to get that to fly.

While it's fighting for that, keep in mind how much cheaper a bullet or lethal injection would have been. Traitor deserves that from the taxpayers, and nothing more.

It isn't a matter of getting the Army to pay for it. Manning already has thousands, if not millions of supporters and if he can get them to pool money together for his defense I'm sure he can get them to pool money for his surgery. The issue comes with the fact that technically Manning is still in the Army and Army medical regulations bar transgendered troops from serving. DADT only opened the door for openly gay and bisexual troops. He's free to do it when he gets out.

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="Jag85"]

And yet it was Prviate Bradley Manning who revealed to us the true horrors of war... unlike American nationalists who think of war as just a video game and real human lives as just NPC's to be mowed down...

Jag85

Pull your head out and come back to reality. He didn't show anything. His goal was to steal classified info....he didn't even know what he was taking....because he was a sad, pathetic piece of shit. What he showed was unfortunate....but does happen in war.....to every country in conflict. It was not intentional. No one thinks war is perfect. But we don't pretend motive where none exists. People jumping on his band wagon are merely ignorant individuals that want to believe in evil.

Shame you don't pay any attention to little things called details and facts.....
