I've always thought of the president as the whipping boy for the rest of the government.
You think he really has that much power?

While Bush is a horrible president, I think that the president who died a month after being sworn-in as president was worse.

Its weird how today the majority of people regard Abraham Lincoln as a great leader and president but in his own time he was scorned and hated. Maybe in a couple of decades if Iraq has a stable governmant and terrorism might be less of an issure, Bush might be a hero. Or maybe in a couple decades Iraq will be in shambles and WW3 could happen in the middle east, and terrorism is still a global problem, Bush might very well be the worst president. Either is possible.... which is more probable? I don't know.

Who has the power to declare war?
If you guessed The President, you're wrong! Only Congress has the power to declare war. The President can ask all he wants, but only congress can declare
Do Iraqis want us there?
Yes! The Iraqi President just asked for American Troops to stay there for another two years.
I like him for my own reaons. I dont agree with the iraqi war, but we have to stay there now and finish it up, help them stand up by themselves, which takes time. An army cant be born over night.

Aside from the war : Hes done at leas one thing that I really appriciate and applaud him for, and that was declaire partial birth abortion illegal.   *waits to get flamed but...doesnt care.*

If by "Iraqis," you mean "the majority of Iraqis" then no:
BAGHDAD, Sept. 26 -- A strong majority of Iraqis want U.S.-led military forces to immediately withdraw from the country, saying their swift departure would make Iraq more secure and decrease sectarian violence, according to new polls by the State Department and independent researchers.

In Baghdad, for example, nearly three-quarters of residents polled said they would feel safer if U.S. and other foreign forces left Iraq, with 65 percent of those asked favoring an immediate pullout, according to State Department polling results obtained by The Washington Post.

Why do people say he's the worst president? He really isn't. There have been way worse presidents: Carter, Hoover, Clinton, the list goes on. There have been 43 presidents in the past 300 years; you really think he's the worst? When people say Bush is the worst president, that just shows they've been watching too much Liberal News.

seriously, I hate Bill Clinton. everyone says he helped the economy when really that was only because he was after Reagan.

Overall, I sort of like Bush only cuz he was better than Kerry, or Gore. But, this deficet is out of control

Maybe not the worst president ever, but in the top 3. The man takes more vacation than a fat guy on worker's comp and he's served the United States by increasing the national debt and declaring war on a country that MAY have had weapons of mass destruction. What has Uncle Sam accomplished over there? They've "democrasized" Iraq, ooooooh. That did alot. After dictatorship, the Iran-Iraq war and the Gulf War, there isnt' really much left of Iraq to call a democracy. I mean, studies are showing that today, around 650,000 people have been killed after the invasion of Iraq by US forces in 2003. Quite the body count for somebody who only wanted to remove the weapons they never found, stop the terror that there were very few connections to and free a people that were half-killed by BlackHawk choppers anyway. Either way, I think any president could handle the American situation much better than Bush has been handling it.

the EU is not one nation, but a conglomerate of several developed nations. as for japan, their GDP per capita is about 10,000 USD below ours, and the japanese yen is BY FAR less valueable than the US dollar. Another thing, America, despite only roughly 23% of our labor force being in the industrial sector is the LEADING industrial power in the world We still have more influence, and more wealth than any other nation. Might I remind you that our military is by far the most powerful military in the world?

Why do people say he's the worst president? He really isn't. There have been way worse presidents: Carter, Hoover, Clinton, the list goes on. There have been 43 presidents in the past 300 years; you really think he's the worst? When people say Bush is the worst president, that just shows they've been watching too much Liberal News.
You know what? I don't really have anything against Bush. The reason why I don't like him is because everyone makes a to big of a deal about him. There has been worse Presidents. Like Bill Clinton.353535355353535

seriously, I hate Bill Clinton. everyone says he helped the economy when really that was only because he was after Reagan.

Overall, I sort of like Bush only cuz he was better than Kerry, or Gore. But, this deficet is out of control

*blink* clinton was right after the first bush, not regan.

Ugh...I'm not in the mood for a flame war. I'm sorry, but that is what it would escalate to if I explained my opinion. Maybe later....:) Â
