California County Declares Secession from State

Why are these people seen as crazy or whatever other name you can think of because they don't agree with anything their state is doing, and want to break off and join forces with other like-minded counties and form their own state?

I should have included the word some in my statement and that was my fault, but Aljosa23 is one of those that isn't as accepting as he thinks he is.

Neat strawman, btw. I've never advocated that the government should "take care of everyone". I advocate the government helping people help themselves, which is completely different. And if someone wants to call that stupid, that's fine with me, it's their right to.

No the reason for this being dumb is not because they do not fall in line with my opinions. Hell I'm willing to bet I agree with these people more than I do the majority of the people who run California. The reason why it is dumb is because these counties have no industry, seemingly few resources and subsist off tourism. That and there isn't a whole hell of a lot of people and even then I'm doubtful 100% want this. Its dumb because its a stupid idea. Would you bitch and whine at me if I told you stabbing yourself in the face with a pitchfork is a dumb idea and say I'm just not accepting? What category would this be? Not being a giant doormat? What do we mean by acceptance anyway. We can accept that people feel a certain way. That doesn't mean that we have to agree with it. If a person is racist we are not accepting of those views, but we do accept that they have a right to those views. So I guess this goes back to what not accepting people who are unacceptive. Like the plan is so misguided. What should are response be. What would be the response to this that would be accepting as opposed to unaccepting. Biting our tounge?dave123321

How about saying that it is not a good idea or that it would be a bad idea to sucede? No one is saying anyone is stupid. You are still accepting their views while stating your opinion on it.
