Can you think of 10 things that bother you when going to the Movie Theater?

For those who actually go to see movies at the movie theater, can you think of 5 things that bother you in the event that such a situation occurs? (Unrelated to the Movie itself...) Here's my list:

1. Outrageous Prices. Seriously, $17.00 for Pop/Popcorn/Small Candy?

2. Cell Phones. Why go to a movie theater if you aren't going to put it on vibrate, or if you're actually going to TEXT your friend during the Movie.

3. Loud Kids. I would expect them in a G-Rated Movie, but in a Rated R Movie? Hire a Babysitter, don't subject your child of that age to violence, nudity, and profanity.

4. Commercials. Even before the Trailers roll, I'm struck with about 4 or 5 Commercials. Leave that stuff on TV where it belongs.

5. Disrespectful Adults. Whether they're kicking your theater seat, stretching their legs on it, or just talking loudly. People should know better than that.

The price of a ticket, the price of candy, the price of soda, the price of popcorn, the price of chocolate, the price of hot dogs, the price of nachos, and the price of other items there. I never go the theatres.

Overpriced snacks. Seriously. Especially as you're banned from taking food into my local cinemas.

I only go to theaters maybe once a year on average, but I guess I would say prices.

I can't honestly think of any. Be optimistic is fun.:D

Luckily, a friend works at Odeon and so we can watch films for free and get a 40% discount on food and drink. The other day it cost us £2.00 each for a large Coke each. :D

When they use a microwave to heat up a $7 hot dog. WHY man? :roll: I saw it being done when I peek behind the counter. I can grab one at 7-Eleven for a cheaper price.

What i really hate is when someone talks on their phone out loud at there seat during the previews.

For about 15 minutes a guy and his wife one row ahead of me were talking on the same phone out loud. I could hear the entire conversation and it was extremely annoy. I wanted to walk up to them and tell them to go outside until they are done talking like every other normal person would do.

2. that guy that asks for my ID to see an r-rated movie when I'm a 6'1 210 man. (who happens to be 16...*sigh*)

3. 5 dollars for a diet coke the size of my left ***

4. that loud girl that makes me contemplate hitting a woman

5. the jerk-off with the cell phone

10. small seats and stick floors.

People who take up arm space.

Bad movies.

From the point of view of someone that works at a movie theater:

1. People that complain to me about ticket prices. I'm just working the concessions stand for minimum wage, but I'm sure I have the ability to lower ticket prices.

2. People that can't pick up their garbage when they leave their seats and put it into one of the several conveniently located garbage cans on their way out.

3. Teenage boys that think it is perfectly fine to go to a movie and talk through the whole thing.

4. Teenagers that get mad when we card them because our manager is sitting in the ticket booth next to us.

5. People that think we care enough to confiscate their water bottle that they "snuck" in.

6. Parents that don't control their kids. Don't let them throw popcorn. Don't let them kick the seat in front of them when another person is sitting there. Pretty simple concepts.

And in general:

7. Couples that make out (among other things) during movies.

8. People that talk on their phones during the movie.

9. People that text on their phones during the movie.

Outrageous prices.

Little kids.

People who flick their toes loud and repeatedly.

3. Annoying teenagers.
4. People who bring their babies to a movie.
5. People who won't move if you try to walk down the aisle.
6. People who laugh at an emotional moment.
7. People who talk on their cell phone /text.
8. People who try to crack bad jokes during a movie.
9. Employees at the ticket center who refuse to refund my money even if the movie breaks down when it's not over.
10. Children who kick my seat during the entire movie.

Every time I go to the movies I somehow always end up behind the teenage couple that do NOTHING but make out for the whole freaking movie and moan like they're getting it on. You know who you are.

I can probably think of over 40.

Lol, this reminded of some feature they had in my newspaper a few months back. It was an article about whether some PG-13 movie was too bad for its rating, and whther it should be R. And in the article, they had 4-5 interviews, and they were all from parents saying they brought their 4 year-old, 6 year-old, etc. to the movie and how it was such an inappropriate movie for their children, and how it should be rated R.:lol:

1. People who use your seat for a foot rest
2. People who kick said seat
3. People who talk loudly
4. When someone answers their phone
5. When somone repeatedly texts
6. Babies (I hate them)
7. Stupid people (I hate them too)
8. People who move up and down, inlcuding sitting up and looking back at the audiences
9. The toilets are almost never clean
10. I always seem to eat all my food during the trailers :|

1. Prices
2. Loud kids/people/crying babies
3. Why the hell did you take your BABIE to a movie? They don't care.
4. Loud eaters
5. Bad parents (which goes with the loud kids/babies)
6. Seat kickers
7. Smelly people/feet
8. Smelly food
9. Sticky floors
10. Texters
11. People getting up in the middle of the movie
12. Sharing armrests with some person I don't know
13. Trailers for stupid movies
14. Tall people (even though they can't help it)
15. Never being there with a women. :(

I actually don't really like movie theaters.
If you really want to see the movie, all these things are just that much worse. Which is fortunate, because most movies seem to blow.

I'll go if there's a movie that I really want to see, or if some friends are going to see a movie as a group.

No one likes the prices, but you're always free to not buy a ticket, or not buy the food, if you think the prices are too high. Phones and talking bug me the most because you can't do as much about it. Sure, you could say the movie's being ruined and you want your money back, but you've already wasted 30-60 minutes sitting in the theater, so you could have a good seat, and they won't compensate you for that.
