Then stop asking for child support.the guy has rights because its his sperm that impregnated the woman in the first place. truth is this no parent feels confortable talking to there kids about sex no matter what parent it is. the reason why alot of abortions happen is because of incest, rape, molestation, one night stands. now if a woman was knocked up without letting the father know then thats a tough call

I fail to see ownage. Mayhaps you need to understand a husband running off on his wife and kids is vastly different than abortion. That in any semi-healthy relationship, the guy will have a strong hand in the matter of whether to keep a child or have an abortion.
What if they aren't married?Even if they're not married, the guy will have a strong say in the matter.
Girls have abortions in the cases of accidental drunken sex, one night stands, rape, etc. more than they do within relationships.
I've never met a girl who wouldn't be willing to seriously discuss the matter if they were in a relationship.
Yeah. no. By law the guy doens't have any say.If a guy and girl are in a relationship, the guy would obviously care about the woman, and the potential child. He would have a say, even if he doesn't have any say legally.
If a guy and girl aren't in a relationship, he likely doesn't care about the woman or the child, so he wouldn't have a say and probably shouldn't have a say.
It's not perfect, but even if it was a 50%-50% split decision, what would happen then? Tie goes to the woman, because she's at risk of spending 9 months, hundreds or thousands of excess money, having to take unpaid leave from work, and raising the kid herself.
Like, I said, it's not perfect, but it protects women from deadbeats who would take off at any risk of committment, and from rapists having a say in their pregnancies.

Did the guy get her pregnant? Sure. I completely understand it takes two to tango, but I've heard so many "veto" stances (that if either partner wants to keep the child, then the other's decision to abort is vetoed) to make my head spin. The fact is that in most any healthy relationship, both partners will talk it out and come to a conclusion. That's how relationships work. If the guy cares about the girl and it's reciprocal, he has a say about the possible child. If he doesn't care about the girl, he has no say in the matter, because it's a one-sided mindset.
As you said, the vast amount of abortions are from incest, rape/molestation, one night stands, etc. and in general people in a relationship are far less likely to. People in poverty-stricken areas where abortion rates are much higher aren't being educated well enough, and even if they are, there's not enough services to be provided. People might decide they want to keep the child, but that it's not feasible to due to a complete lack of day-care, a partner producing a second means of income, terrible US maternity/paternity leave standards, etc.
If it's going to ruin the livelihood of the parent(s) and significantly reduce the chances of the potential child having even a mediocre life, then some feel pushed towards abortion whether it's right or not. It's not an easy decision to make.
