For those who believe in the end times, what are your thoughts on it? I think we may be close to it. Like Isreal coming back. Also these times really seem to fit it. Like listen to metal music.

I believe the end will come eventually. However, I'm not convinced that it will come now. You just can't expect it to come.

Yeah, and there's not much of a sign of it happening soon. Global Warming is slow, and it'd take a while for it to bring the total end.

I was under the impression the End Times would be a more universal thing, so i'd think the human race would be a little more spread out through the universe before we hit the end. So not close, not even a little.

God didnt create the entire universe just so you could have a desktop picture. Think he wants us to do a bit of exploring, maybe we may find more religious artifacts out there. You never know, it's a large and unexplored realm. A pitty we werent born in an age where manned space exploration was a more common thing.

All religions have different views and beliefs on "the end". Some believe in the earth being destroyed, some believe in a earthly paradise, some believe in a holy war will start, and the list goes on. You just gotta choose which one you think is right, and hope that it's right. If you believe only one religion is the truth, then choose wisely.

what the hell does metal have to do with it?  I listen to mostly Christian metal.

Satanic Metal is only a tiny fraction of the reason why I think the end of days will occur in my lifetime.  There are WAY bigger problems with the world than metal.  MTV, myspace, PORN, etc.

Oh, and in what outrageous way shall we die? All these Doomsday theory's are stupid, the Earth has been around so long and survived through so much.

Plus, I thought we already died in the year 2000 from the Y2K? Oh, and we died again on the 6/6/06 when the Devil would return. All these stupid doomsday theory's.

I want to hear what the Christian's Doomsday theory is.

For the record, metal music is quite un-satanic.  On the contrary, if it's good, it's thought provoking, which unfortunately can't be said about most christian music.

Not being a Christian, and not believing in the Rapture (although I've read most of the Bible), I don't think that they will ever come.  Not because it's scientifically impossible, but because the entire state of mind of "this and this point towards it happening soon" has been around for hundreds of years, and will probably be around for far longer than that.  Ever since that idea of the Rapture was created, people have been seeing signs of it happening in their lifetimes.  It's the people pretty much forcing a connection between current events and the Rapture.  They may be doing it to reinforce their faith, or as a subconscious action, but it's definitely not happening anytime soon, if it's going to happen at all.

He saying that Metal Music is awesome! :)

 please.

1. The bands you listed hardly qualify as "metal"

2. He is saying metal is a big contributor as to why the world might end pre maturely, which is preposterious.

What? you don't consider Rob Zombie metal? and no, metal music will not lead to the end of the world. That's stupid. btw, I was making a joke when I said that the TC thinks Metal is awesome.

I was thinking more along the lines of signs of divine activity outside of Earth. God did create the universe, so his attention was not soley focused on Earth.

Idk, I have only heard about 20 secs of Rob Zombie, that was enough for me. I don't know what the hell they are.

I know you were joking, I'm not an idiot. I was pointing out to the guy questioning, just in case he was confused.

Rob Zombie is Industrial Nu-Metal, which technically isn't metal.  More like Shock Rock, except not that shocking.

video games are entertainment. playing video games is not commiting sin. Masterbating being lazy, eating more food than you can handle, being jealous of your best friend... THOSE are sins! We sin all the time. Jesus Christ died for OUR sins! He suffered so we didn't have to.

Artifacts like jesus' tomb!

I was thinking more along the lines of signs of divine activity outside of Earth. God did create the universe, so his attention was not soley focused on Earth.

correction, the Big Bang created the universe

This isnt a religion vs atheism debate thread. So please - get the hell out.

You're right, science isn't allowed in fairy tale land.

If you think Video games are just as bad, then WHY ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THIS WEBSITE!!!!?

Because I like to live my sinly desires. Also I became a member before I thought this.

playing video games is a sin now? :?

I think so. Maybe there is a sinless video game out there. I also think any competition is bad.

video games are entertainment. playing video games is not commiting sin. Masterbating being lazy, eating more food than you can handle, being jealous of your best friend... THOSE are sins! We sin all the time. Jesus Christ died for OUR sins! He suffered so we didn't have to.

Masterbating can be entertainment.

Do you know what I'm referring too?

No :( what? :D

*bands head on wall in frustration* Okay, never mind. but to end it all, playing video games is NOT a sin and even if it was, so what!

You misunderstand, dick, this isnt a thread about religion vs Atheism. I quite well know the Big Bang created the universe, but i know God is the cause of it all, and initiated the big bang. Why do you feel the need to come into these threads and bash religious people? Do you lack the confidence in your own beliefs that you have to belittle people who believe in something else?

Indeed. have you noticed that most of Josh's religion threads have been a bit on the extreme side? He makes us look bad :P

Though, in his defense, i think he is a young one.

I don't know when it will happen or if it will even happen the way it's popularly believed to happen (i'm not sure if the rapture will happen the way people believe), but I don't like how it's being used today.  All people are doing with it is using it as an excuse to create tension between different denominations. Christ himself said not to set a date for his return, so let's not.

What makes me an extremist?Josh_345
let's see... where do I start... 1. Thinking everyone who isn't a christian is going to hell 2. Thinking playing video games is a sin 3. Saying that the end is near 4. thinking Metal Music will end society That pretty much sums it up.

Why would non Christians go to heaven? Also im not saying metal alone would end society, i`m just saying it could be a bigger threat then you would think.

You have no right to claim that non christians are not going to heaven. You have absolutely NO control over that. I do not believe that non christians are going to hell. that is Not up to me to decide. That is up to God! Not me! Not you! GOD!! Also, your logic about metal contributing to the downfall to society is pathetic. That same attitude was applied to Elvis, The Beatles, etc. A lot of people think Rage Against the Machine will contribute to the downfall of society. That is pure BS.
