how by disagreeing with your believes, if you want to report me then go ahead, just show that im gettin to you and that i am right, so be my guess, and i refer to any non christian version of your precious bible-DirtySanchez-

Absurd assumptions are something that most people attempt to avoid in debates. I personally hate the book. But that's no reason to disrespect both it and its followers. Furthermore, you're not "getting to me" and I never said I'd report you. But you are in violation of the Terms of Service and someone else may.

What I have a problem with is how people let it take such a massive impact on their lives, when none of it is proven.

Well, at least no one ever say that you're not confident. And saying they "spew nonsense", whether you believe it or not, is blatantly offensive. In other words, a terms of use violation.

The problem with believing in Christianity is that the foundation of it goes against the one element of humanity that separates us for animals, reason. To believe something on faith with no evidence is foolishness. If there is a "God" that made us then he knows that the only way for us to gain knowledge and information is through our senses. He should be sending us clear, none subtle, evidence that we can perceive, take in, reason, processes, and that come to a clear conclusion. If "God" want to so called save us he would want to keep his existence in our live so mysterious and shady. Cause I garentee you, intelligent, reasonable people would all follow God if they were certain of his exisitance and know what he really wanted.

P.S. You can't use the Bible as proof of God since the Bible is supposed to be his words. That would be like saying Pepsi is better then Coke because Pepsi said so.

It's called faith for a reason. It's believing in something that you cannot prove logically. You can deny it all you want to. You will just never realize what you are missing in your life. Having a relationship with God fills that void, that empty space, that people are searching for all their lives. They think they can replace it with worldly pleasures but they will never be fully satisfied. I don't understand why so many people just turn the other direction when they hear anything about Christianity. The least they can do is listen. But they have all these stupid assumptions and negative attitudes about it, they just completely disregard anything that is said.

I was born and raised Protestant so I know the doctrines of the church. Believing in God fills a void cause it allows people to throw away their fears by placing trust in a being that may take care of them if they do what he says. Faith can be great in giving others hope and meaning in life. However just cause it makes you feel good not to face your fears head on doesn't prove he exists. All im saying is its illogical to devote your entire life to something without evidence to hold up its foundation. Even having faith requires evidence. When I flip the light switch I expect my room to get brighter because I previously observed that to take place. I have faith that the Sun will come up tomorrow because I have both observed it and I have evidence of it. Now something catastrophic could happen and cause the Sun not to come up but based on the evidence that i have I am very confident that the sun will appear. What evidence do i have of Gods existence to justify having faith in him?

Having a personal relationship with God excludes all religion. If you want God, it's all around you. Christianity and other religion makes you too blind to see it.

Maybe the actual question should be: Christianity, any religion in fact, why force it?

Not everyone wants religion in their lives, that's fine and that's their choice. Believe or don't believe, it doesn't matter in the end as long as you are happy with your life and don't go about forcing others to be like you and to think like you.

I wouldn't dare force my beliefs and faith on anyone, I respect and value free will and personal choice. Isn't that shocking? A Christian/Catholic who actually encourages free will and personal choice.

Forcing people to have religion in their lives is not an act of enlightenment, it's an act of oppression. We all have the right to choose for ourselves, not to have that choice made for us.

Christianity asks me to have faith. I ask, why is faith so important to God? What does God get out of faith? If God wants my love and devotion, in what way exactly does that love taste richer or fuller for the fact that I gave it without even knowing for certain if the object of that love even exists? Does faith based love taste extra sweet, like strawberries dipped in chocolate?

 I love how Chef says "children" even if he's talking to just one of them. "Sometimes God takes people closest to us because he wants to feel better about himself. He's a very vengeful god."
