Well it appears anyone can win a Nobel Prize these days  It offends me. And it saddens me that a country still calls itself "a christian nation". We have a right, just like christians do, to try to convince others that our believes are right. Atheist are not strong? First time ever a video gets me upset

I'm just glad they included Stephen A. Smith in there...or else that video would've seriously lacked all acceptance. The ignorance of the two ladies in the video just astounded me...

I am not an athiest, I am an agnostic. I think it's just idiotic for the religious and the religion haters to fight.

Read into the pledge of allegiance. It states "ONE nation under god." Maybe it would be better to take god out of the pledge, just so athiest will shut the **** up. The mention of god in the pledge is not required anyway.

It annoys me greatly... They just generalize that ALL Athiests are anti-christian and hate people due to religion etc... Im athiest and proud, but i don't cvare what people believe in.  You can believe in God, i wonm't change my opinion of you because of it.  SO long as you dont stuff religion down my throat *which happens alot as you coudl imagine.* than im fine.

With experience, it becomes easier to detect. Your sarcasm detector will mature and become very complex. You will be able to pick out sarcasm in the bleak and the befuddled. You will be a new kind of a forum poster, a better one.

Here's a question -- Why is there not an Atheist on the panel? Seriously. Aside from that, one problem I have arguing is the fact that the United States is a melting pot, so technically, you're expected to conform to American beliefs (this is my understanding, please correct me if this is generally untrue). I'm from Canada where you're supposed to maintain your individual culture. Onto specifics, one suggests that prayer never should have been taken out of school? The statement at one point that the child doesn't know anything about what's going on with the debate is exactly why prayer should not be in school or public--it causes influences the impressionable despite what a parent may want, and somewhat inhibits the child's own eventual choice. I don't recall any discrimination against me, but it doesn't come up much. I am, however, in favour of elimination of all religious references from publically controlled and displayed things, whether it be anthem, money, or schools. Religion is not subject to the democratic process, majority does not make everything fall before its feet. Those women on that panel act as though removal of religion from the state is somehow imposing atheism, when it's merely the absence of any religious influence. Prayer was removed, not replaced by daily chants of "There is no God".

I don't know very many religious people. I don't know one legitimate religious person, because the few I do know are all posers. All of the athiests I know don't consider themselves athiests until they are asked their opinion of religion. It's purely for classification. They simply don't follow a religion, because they don't believe gods exists. They are not  advocating an anti-religious movement. They don't care. It's that simple.

I am agnostic, Which is middle of road. Meaning I am skeptical. I doubt there is a god, but I can't prove it doesn't exist. I don't follow any particular religion, but I believe religion is valid.

An arguement between *religious and athiest* is like and argument between *Care & don't care"

This intolerance you show toward Christians is no better than the intolerance from Christians you are referring to.

Real Christians who are right with the Lord do not act like intolerant morons for the most part.

I agree with these guys 100%. Most atheists dont care what there beliefs are. All athiests are out there to do is prove that Religion is wrong. What is atheism? Atheism is all about trying to prove religious people wrong. If Atheists really believed something, they would sit at home and believe what they want to. But they dont do that, they are always out their trying to annoy religious people and fight with them. Thats what athiesm is all about, fighting with religion and trying to disprove it.

So in my opinion.

My definition of Athiesm is. Athiesm: People who do not have their own beliefs. But are just out there to fight with religion and prove them wrong for no particular reason.

You're wrong. Athiesm means a person doesn't practice a religion nor believe gods exist.  You're not defining an athiest, you're defining a person that needs to get a life.

Athiesm is about not believing in God yes. But it gives them no right to go out and attack religious people every single day and try to start fights. You dont see religious people starting arguments with Atheists do you? Because religious people like to sit and home and believe what they want. Atheists like to go out and cause trouble, they dont sit at home believing whatever they want. They run around trying to prove religion is wrong and God is a myth. So as far as im concernd, they should shut up.

That was so unbelieveabley biased!  First off, this nation was not founded as a Christian nation.  I'll admit to be a quite a bit frustrated with that clip.  What's the point in having that debate in the first place if there are three Christians doing the debate.  Frustrating.

What are you talking about? Just because a few atheists aspire to be jerks means that all atheists are douche bags? I suspose if some buddhist ate a baby that would mean all buddhists eat babys?

You have no idea. I have known religious  that shun people just because they are non-religious. I've had plenty of people just blah blah blah on and on about how wrong everyone else is becuase they won't molest a bible everyday all day so they try  to assimilate everyone in sight..

I know alot of Athiests. Have heard lots of athiests speak about how God is fake. So I would say atleast 50% of them are just out there to annoy religion. I have never seen a religious person directly go after an Athiest to upset them, unless Athiests take the first shot. I think it would be best if Atheists just shut there mouths and believe what they want to. Befcause the more Athiests try to annoy Religion, the more Religion will fight back.

(By the way, I never knew Stephen A Smith was a news reporter. I also never knew he had such a strong belief in God)

Sounds like you have the problem. Who cares if they think gods are BS? Does that infringe upon your fantasies?

If they are doing it on purpose to antagonize you, did you ever stop to think maybe they just do it because you're an easy target? Maybe you're easy to antagonize.
