Exactly. I can't believe a high-ranking politician would openly advocate such an indefensible "solution" to Islamic terrorism. He has to know that it will earn him nothing but contempt from most citizens.
That's pretty dumb. If you did that, the amount of "Islamic fundamentalists" that despite the United States would increase tenfold. Not to mention that would create a lot of uprising amoung domestic Muslims.

I simply gave an example, for those who are curious, of an actual event in history involving a nuclear bomb that they could look at and examine the effects. I'm not too concerned about what Pakistan would do with their weapons because our Bollywood friend India sits right next to them with the same weapons. I think those two nations would take care of each other before they thought of the USA.
You can never "win" the war against terrorism, simply because new ones are born everyday. Sure, you can take out a dangerous cell, heck, you could take out an entire network, but one will just pop up again. So another words, its a constant struggle, just like crime. Bombing Mecca, would just be A. Stupid and B. would only aggrivate tensions and would plummet the United States world support. And using nukes against terrorists is stupid as well. They dont just clump together in the tens of thousands in one big city, it would be a waste of the nuke and the gas it took to get the friggin plane up there. IMO a B-52 filled with a few 1000 pound bombs does the job just fine.
