I will say that Bloc Party's sound has changed enough that their first album really isn't the best example of what they sound like.

True, but I'm more going for "these debut albums are their best work and are terrific albums", not really "these debut albums are good examples of their sound".
Some may argue that GnR's debut was their best.Travo_basicIt was the only one that was actually mildly enjoyable imo, so I must agree.:P

Good to hear! :D
Which album(s)?
I can't do albums at this point, but the song I got is "Cry of the Black Birds".Ah, from With Oden on Our Side. I'd recommend you check out that album, Versus the World, and Twilight of the Thunder God. All fantastic albums.
Suicidal Tendencies self titled debut was easily their best work.
Also Pop Art by Transvision Vamp. I prefer their 3rd release as more artistic but the 1st really captures them perfectly.
Also Cypress Hill's self titled. Like AC/DC they have just rerecorded the same album for all their next releases. ;)
[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]Black Sabbath's debut (and self-titled) album is (imo) their best as well, though they have many other albums of similar quality.Darth-CaedusReally? I found it rather boring, especially when compared to the stuff that came later..
I hear a lot of people say the same thing, actually. I just personally love it, especially the title track and Wicked World (plus, Behind the Wall of Sleep is imo probably the most underrated Sabbath song). I will say that I consider Paranoid and Master of Reality to be equally good albums (I've been really fond of Into the Void particularly of late).
Pavement - Slanted & Enchanted
Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
Television - Marquee Moon
R.E.M. - Murmur
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker
Uncle Tupelo - No Depression
Animal Collective - Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished
The Strokes - Is This It?
dEUS - Worst Case Scenario
Clinic - Internal Wrangler
Gang of Four - Entertainment!
The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium
Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway
Tindersticks - s/t
Tricky - Maxinquaye
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico (Not my favorite though)
Ween - God Ween Satan
Wire - Pink Flag
The Walkmen - Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me is Gone (Again, not my personal favorite)

The title track is one of the worst songs Sabbath ever made IMO...:P I think Paranoid, Masters, and everything that Dio was one is MUCH better then their first album...[QUOTE="Lockedge"]

In that case, yes. :) Kele should stop singing so much, and go back to those yelps that were too awesome from the debut album.I can't do albums at this point, but the song I got is "Cry of the Black Birds".[QUOTE="battlefront23"][QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]

Ok. I kinda wish the songs weren't about Norse mythology and Scandinavian battle and such, but I really do like the guitar riffs. :D[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"] Really? I found it rather boring, especially when compared to the stuff that came later.. Darth-Caedus

Just my opinion though. :P
I can understand though why you don't like their title track. I just love the sound of it. :P
Nas's Illmatic. Only the greatest debut album of all time.tbone29
Who's your favorite rapper(s)?
Mine are Tupac and Geto Boys.

Ok. I kinda wish the songs weren't about Norse mythology and Scandinavian battle and such, but I really do like the guitar riffs. :DTheir lyrics certainly aren't Dylan-quality (but then again, whose are :P), but (given their themes) they aren't that bad. Anyway, my personal favorite album of theirs is Twilight of the Thunder God, has some amazing songs (the title track, Free Will Sacrifice, Live for the Kill, Embrace of the Endless Ocean, Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags are all fantastic, all the other tracks are good (Where is your God?, Guardians of Asgaard, and No Fear for the Setting Sun imo are the weaker tracks, but I still like all of them :D).

Well I think Nas is a given :PI really like Tupac, but not as much as most rap listeners do.
My favorite new rappers are J. Cole, B.o.B, and Kid CuDi.

this is an internet forum, we are not writing college essays here. i use word and check my work over twise when i write an essay, and use spellcheck. . on these forums i write quickly and dont care if i miss a period or spell a word wrong.
no one reading what i said cares how i spell or what my grammar is like as long as they can read and comprehend what i wrote. when people correct others spelling they are trying to start something, or to act smart, its a sarcastic thing meant to put others down and make them look foolish. trust me i have done it many a times in an arguement.
dont assume i am an idiot and do not know what you are doing.
