TC update:"Update for those interested: I talked with my professor and she told me that the total score for the essay part was only 3 points meaning I got 2/3. I thought it was out of 5 since most of our other essays are out of 5 to 10 points. I guess she was just a bit disappointed that I chose to abort (despite being a guy, yes I know it's weird) but respected my view. Anyway, 2/3 is not bad and I'm sorry I gave the notion that I got marked down. I thought I did but it seems it wasn't a major part of the quiz. "
the only person who defended againstthese baseless attacks on the professor was me :)
The score doesn't really seem to be an issue but I still think it's wrong she wrote 'I hope you change your mind one day' or whatever on your work, she shouldn't be forcing or guilt-tripping her personal opinions on you, she should be fair and unbiased towards all of her student's views.

[QUOTE="MetalGear_Ninty"][QUOTE="surrealnumber5"] wut? where did i ever say anything even close to that? i dont give a crap about abortion one way or the other but i do have issues with people bringing their own preconceptions into a judgmentsurrealnumber5Smells like bull**** from where I'm standing. it looks like i was right about the teacher so whos judgement was full of BS? That doesn't make you right, with the evidence provided you had no reason to have such a large bias in regards to the professor. Even though the professor seemingly did not dock marks because TC said he would have aborted does not stop the fact that the question and the comment was completely innapropriate and in most schools would be an offence warranting resignation or severe disciplinary action. Your ardent support for the professor in this topic demonstrates that you have a strong 'preconcieved bias' yourself which one can assume, correctly or incorrectly is related to the abortion debate

Your ardent support for the professor in this topic demonstrates that you have a strong 'preconcieved bias' yourself which one can assume, correctly or incorrectly is related to the abortion debate i was not looking for a reason to attack someone who i disagreed with, unlike most in this thread. the information at hand, the actions of the teacher did not support the conclusion people were jumping to, no teacher would give an opinion based question and then dock people based off of the choice made and not the support for the choice. you wanted the teacher to be a nutbag with a vindictive character in order to fill some view you had prior to the story. it never even occurred to you that you might not be getting the whole story, you sir never looked at the facts only the emotionally charged assumption made by the TC. i did not support the teacher, i defended her from attack, there is a big difference between supporting someone and not attacking them. all i did in this thread was present possible alternatives given the facts given, i did not jump to conclude or assume and i really dont give a crap one way or the other about abortion, why should i, i have no choice in the matter one way or the other.
that question is retarded on so many levels, most obvious being that there are male students in the class.
so you could have simply answered: " i have a male reproductive system, so its physically impossible for me to get pregnant, which makes this question invalid".
but i somehow think that the question was worded significantly differently than you lead us to believe.
