lol. What a cheap way to get users to click your username, but hey, it worked.I couldn't help but click it.:P
 same here.If you replace Aliens with blacks you get the apartheid. . . . . Now Jews killing Nazi.Well QT didnt intend to make IB historically accurate but I do agree with you about District 9 somewhat. I know, I just find it funny that a sci-fi is more historically correct than a WWII epic. Though Basterds is still pretty badass.

How so?

Inglourious Basterds is a better movie in my eyes... While I see some incredible genius in D9, the story was off. Even our poor human race is not as discusting and close-minded as this movie made them out to be. This movie was trying to be as realistic as it could be with the subject matter at hand, but human beings would never allow a visiting Alien race to be handled this way. I'm definitely not saying that we would completely welcome them with open arms, or that we would just let them roam free in society, but we most certainly would not have put them in a slum in Africa...Its...too...hard...to...choose!!! I'll just say they tie. District 9 was a Sci-Fi master piece where Inglorious Bastards was an amazing achievement for war movies.

District 9 all the way. Loved the story, setting, characters and action sequences. That's not to say I didn't like Inglorious Basterds, I'm just not a huge fan of Tarantino's style.
District 9 is a Halo/Half-Life fan's wet dream.
In fact, my pants are wet right now thinking about it.

You can't be serious. D9 has nothing in common with either of those games you mentioned.
I've seen both District 9 and Inglourious Basterds, and I think it's safe to say that both are completely films and are not comparable. If you want an action movie, go with District 9. If you want a revenge film, go with Inglourious Basterds.Nerd_Man
I would hope they were both completely films.
District 9 had some fresh ideas and overall I guess I liked it, but Inglorious is on an entirely different level. It's a fantastic experience.
Dang this is a close call, i enjoyed them both. Well if you like seeing bad people get the butts handed to them see IB but if you want to see an alien film with crazy cool weapons D-9 is the way to go.
Inglorious Basterds= Hilarious and violent fun.
District 9= Disappointing and only worth going to a budget theater to see.
District 9 by far. Inglorious Basterds was fun, but it didnt seem like it knew what it wanted to be. The dialogue was good, but it dragged a lot, the music sampled from other films was very gimmicky, Eli Roth was very miscast, and overall it tried to hard to be too many things at once. I would give it a 7, maybe 7.5. It was better than Death Proof by far but I wasnt a huge fan of it.
Yeah it did feel like it dragged a lot. And I thought Brad Pitt should've been in it a lot more.District 9 by far. Inglorious Basterds was fun, but it didnt seem like it knew what it wanted to be. There was also a part of me that felt it was just a glorified revenge film with a bunch of random film references and a bit of a western too. That isnt bad, but It has gotten to a point with WW2 films for me when they need more than tarantino's usual styl e to be interesting. WW2 has been almost done to death, Inglorious basterds wasnt very different from films like Kelly's heroes, and the dirty dozen. That isnt bad, but it is a bit monotonous after a while.

I was kinda interested in seeing what he would do for the plot, but his death was kinda lame. Same for Ms. Hammersmark. Such a bizarre death. And I hoped that Ms. Dreyfus would make it out! :o But no, she had to go to. I felt like too many people died!
Film-Guy
