Maybe it was just the hype. but Inglorious basterds was a bit dissapointing to me. It didnt do anything new, except the end. It had western elements mixed with WW2, which is cool and all but it is not one of the best films of the year by far. It mixed genres with tarantino, but aside from that is pretty much a very long revenge film mixed with dirty dozen. I can think of more than 10 better films, like Moon:D
I found that most of the dialogue was clunky and superfluous. It worked well in his other movies, but it was poorly done in IB.Maybe it was just the hype. but Inglorious basterds was a bit dissapointing to me. It didnt do anything new, except the end. I felt the same way and have been trying to force myself to think differently because all my friends loved it. But I just can't get over the fact that it didn't do anything new and it just felt pretty bland to me compared to tarantino's other movies. I probably over hyped it a bit too much too.Maybe it was just the hype. but Inglorious basterds was a bit dissapointing to me. It didnt do anything new, except the end.
