So, as it turns out, it's only offensive to generalize an entire nation's population as terrorists when it wasn't you who threw the first punch.
Bloodshed is part of war. Was there too much? I don't know.I didn't bring up the topic. But you seem to suggest that we should stand back and try not to put anyone there in a bad mood. I think that reform is in order in Iran, and I think that diplomacy will set it in motion.
But no solution is without some cost. People may die, money may be wasted, it's too early to tell what will happen. Intervention hasn't started, but it will happen. I'm not informed on the issue, I came to comment on a video made to give a potentially hostile nation a pretty, non-threatening face.

Rimnet, I'm confused about something. The last time some Israeli's attacked some Palestinians you made a post about it to inform everyone. I notice that you havn't done the same for the recent rocket attack on Israel and the incident with the bulldozer. What's going on? I need you to keep delivering your totally unbiased news service. ferretzor
You are compared the IDF, which is a government military organization, with a madman civilian? Please, think about what you are saying. Yes, it's terriable... but is it really at the same level as a government backed agency? The one who is responsible for the Palestinians breaking through the Egyptian borders in order to gain food/water/supplies so they can service. Something they had to do, due to the blockades put on the biggest outdoor prision in the world: The Gaza Strip.

Yeah and that's enough of a reason for western nations to bully other countries that are trying to become just a little bit powerful and economically stable.
When they threaten another group of people with genocide, ummm YEAH we should attack them, cause it's definately not an ok thing to do. but unfortunately threats don't warrant an invasion, so we wont invade them until they make another step in the wrong direction. (train terrorists and or if genocide-like activities are going on and oh yeah if they make nukes and threaten the world with them)

You have justified it.It's always funny watching people talk about politics on OT, that know nothing about what is really going on over there.
The people who live there are good people for the most part. Who the hell wants to kill the people? We should try to do everything we can to talk the problems of the world out. Just because we got a great military , doesn't mean we should attack everyone because they don't like us. :| Only should use our military is they are a REAL threat to us or any other countries that are peaceful. If they have said that they want or will attack a certain country, then we have to do what we have to, to help make the world a safer place... ;)

Well, Iraq disagrees. The US has probably killed more civilians then the terrorists did. Maybe by accident but that doesn't change the fact those people died a needless death.

So.....what does this have to do with attacking Iran? We shouldn't attack them because they have nice buildings and people. Yes....because that's the only thing that determines whether I should attack a country or not. You could of made a video like this for Nazi Germany......
Not that I'm saying we should invade Iran, but saying we shouldn't because of this is well.....naive.

Actually the casualty estimates are so braod that the true number may never be known. A John's Hopkin's university's survey estimate over 650,000 killed while the ORB estimate as much as 1,000,000. The Iraqi Health ministry believes its about 150,000.Which one is correct? We may never know.

Everybody says something different, nobody knows for sure. I find it hard to believe that so many Iraqi's died from "road side bombs", like terrorists are waiting all day long, just to be able to kill a civilian. That makes no sense. Making it look like the civilians died in a shootout with US soldiers, that makes sense. Making it look like they got blown up by IED's, that makes no sense.
[QUOTE="swizz-the-gamer"]In pretty much every thread you have discussed the Israeli Palestinian conflict.newman12-18So have I. He never said anything about killing Israeli civilians. the figure i gave is a record of actual, documented deaths, not estimates. anyone can estimate deaths up the wazoo but i'd believe actual numbers to estimates any day. are there be more deaths then what's documented... probably, but i seriously doubt the number is astronomically larger like some of the estimates i've seen.
edit: the main point here is that the US is NOT causing the majority of these deaths, whatever number you want to use. it is the insurgents and terrorists that are planting the ieds and blowing themselves up in crowded markets and are the cause of the majority of iraqi civilian deaths.

Did they physically go out in every province and survey every family on how many people they lost? Coalition forces didn't even have control of every province until a few months ago (Anbar province was completely overran by insurgents). This can only mean that the number is a conservative value without taking into account undocumented death.
Did many civilians die because of American forces? Of course. Are the majority of the deaths caused by American forces? Of course not. But I think many blame the huge casualty rate on America because it started the war.
