We're feeling it in England too. Most of our foreign investment goes to and comes from the United States. Our economy is messed up thanks to bad leadership decisions made by the Republican Party. So could you guys over the pond possibly do us Brits a favour and stop voting for them?

Thanks.

You said his presidency would be alright if Iraq turned out alright. But saying it shouldn't have happened should make that one of the failures of his presidency.

do foriegners feel stupid for incorrectly blaming the pres of the us for their problems?

do they feel sad that their econ is owned by america's? (if you believe its america's fault)

do they feel accepted by their peers for taking the common route and blaming america for their problems?

seriously anwser those and foriegners (non-americans) who dont feel that way dont take offense

The American recession has had repercussions worldwide, and the Government has quite a bit of influence over the economy.

Our economy is a free market system, corporations and the people of the country are the ones who influence how our economy is doing, not one person so quit complaining and deal with it, its not even that bad. Its not your fault your countrys economy is so dependent on our own, if you trade with us, then you recess with us so blame your own parliament.

A recession is bound to happen it's part of the inevitable business cycle. The government's job is to lower the impact of the recession, did they do that? We can only know once we are out.

Poor? Its a little recession where going through. Its very natural and happens most often near election time. Trust me, America isnt going poor. Hell, this month my dad bought 300,000 dollars worth of cars already adding to the 200,000 we have right now.

He did in the beginning of his term. Remember his party had control of both the House and the Senate. Thus, what he wanted got pushed through.

What question? Where does the money go? What money...more defense spending? The debt? The deficit? That hardly is a debit to the economy.

It's created a billion dollar private security market. O_O Not to mention the fear is created back home... people started buying this andthat in preperation for war and terrorist attacks (gas masks, etc), not to mention all the TV shows and movies based on or around terrorism/Islamic extremeists.

It isn't physically possible to "lulz" seeing as "lulz" is a noun and isn't in any way related to "lol".

What? TV and movies are made whether we are at war or not. I don't know anyone buying up preparations for war...nor have I heard of any news of this.

In the past when there has been a war the economy rebounded from recessions/depressions. This is not the case here.

Yes, but a whole new market of TV shows was created. Those based on or around Islamic extremists, modern terrorism (and it'saffects in the USA, Britain). Take 24, or NCIS, or, Spooks (British) or anyother number of shows I don't watch. Their plots wouldn't exist without the war in Iraq or the threat of terrorism. Ofcourse Tv and movies would exist, but not these ones. Just after September 11 America went pretty much nuts with preparing for possible attacks (remember the Anthrax out breaks and such).

I'm not saying the war impacted negatively, or that Bush's actions regarding the war did, just that the war did impact the U.S. economy.

We've gone slightly off-topic anyway.

America is not a dictatorship. Bush is the face, but he doesn't make all the decisions. He's hardly to blame for anything.

The world GDP has been in negative growth for the past two years? Did I miss something?

If this has happened, how exactly is this Bush's fault?

Most economists agree that we would have had a recession regardless of who was president; it's the general flow of the economy that dictates it.

Poor? Its a little recession where going through. Its very natural and happens most often near election time. Trust me, America isnt going poor. Hell, this month my dad bought 300,000 dollars worth of cars already adding to the 200,000 we have right now.

Im sure he did ;D

He did. I doesnt matter if you dont believe me. I know its true. Theres nothing to prove on a internet OT forum. Its just sad that you would make fun of me for no reason than to try and prove that your right.

nah man I fully agreed with you ;)

*sigh* I bet you get beat up alot right?

For agreeing with people?

No; for using "lulz" as a verb WHEN IT'S A NOUN.

I also like to create and index slang and pretend they are proper english words, maybe you'd like to be part of my bookclub?

What does creating and indexing slang have to do with a bookclub?

What the ****?

You live in England; you guys get pissed when we do something right (who saved your ***es in WW1 and WW2, again?), and now you're pissed that the business cycle is down (which isn't even the government's fault).

You're pathetic. Just shut the hell up and grow some balls, you piece of crap. What have YOU done for the world, other than create us?

Hey, wait a minute! You didn't create us, we had to whoop your asses first, and then create ourselves! And I'm also guessing you (yourself) haven't done **** for the world (you just started a blatant anti-America topic on a gaming website, ffs), so you don't even get that merit.

So here's my question: Do you feel guilty for creating such a waste-of-internet topic, while the intelligent world is doing their best to get the economy moving again?

No? I didn't think so. This thread obviously proves you aren't part of the "intelligent world", so I wouldn't expect you to comprehend what the word "guilt" even means.

Goodbye.

EDIT: I'm in a patriotic mood.
