Considering the guys running in this election I'd vote for Bush again. I voted the first time, but didn't vote at all the 2nd time. This time I won't vote either because the 2 running are dishonest as it gets.

Here's something:
Stop investing in us, you have no one to blame but yourselves.

I'm not saying that Bush is good or anything, but this is your own fault.

Iraq shouldn't have happened.

Agreed, Afghanistan is where it's at. (and even that is going to be a failure.. :| )

Agree! They invested knowing that any fluctuation would make it impossible for them to pay. They still went ahead out of greed. Therefore, it is there fault. People are responsible for their own stupid investments.

I'd say it's the banks fault for giving out loans to people with no income or no real assets. They figured the mortgage and value of the house + the loan would go up, and when it doesn't you have a run on the bank like the recent Indymac Bank situation.

The funny thing is that the President has no control over the economy. The president gets praised when the economy does well, and he gets blamed when the economy doesn't do well. As an economics student, I study and do extensive research on the economy. Even though the president signs bills that do affect the economy, the economy goes through cycles that are out of control of the President. Then you may ask, why are candidates concentraiting on economic policy? Well, economic policy is important becuse it refers to the actions that governments take in the economic field. It covers the systems for setting interest rates and government deficit as well as the labour market, national ownership, and many other areas of government. But, it does not dictate the way markets behave. Ultimately, the President has no control over the economic cycles that take place in markets...if we get out of the recession when the next President takes over, no matter what party they belong to they will be praised. If we do not get out, the President will be blame as well.

Naw. The Republicans are the better party. The Dems are so anti-gun and anti-fun. Anti gun people pay the politicians to be anti gun aor whatever. Bush is apid off by the oil companies to make them still legal. Every politician has a buying price. And I'd much rather put England through hell then us through an gun ban.

It's not Bush's fault. Hey If we had Al Gore, or Kerry the fairy as president the economy would be just as bad. And I got news, neither one of our presidential candidates- old man Johnny or Scary Barry - is gonna do much to help our economy.

I'd vote for him again.

Just to spite the rest of the world.

EDIT: I'd also like to know the connection between the GOP and the current financial market trouble. You know, seeing as it was the banks and large financial firms that caused this.
