OMG *swears.* Bush isn't why there is economic recession. It's not all HIS fault. IT'S not all one man's fault. Use some sense! IT's a natural part of the economy. And secondly, most people here probably don't even vote for him, nor anyone! What would you do without America? Any president would of handled the Bush Doctrine in a similar manner. *sigh* OMG.

Now why would the liberal media blame the problems on a conservative president instead of the liberal majority congress?

As much as I hate Bush (and I REALLY hate Bush) I cant put all of the blame this on him or his admin. I can blame them for the insane defficit, but the oil problem is international (and I beleive that that is more China's fault than anyone elses) and the housing problem is the banks' fault.

I never voted for Bush, but I know people that did. On November 2nd, 2004, I asked her why she was going to vote for Bush after Iraq and everything and she said that it's because of how commited to religion he is. So basically what I got from that conversation was that anyone that is President in the United States can do whatever they want as long that in every speech they say "God bless America", "Jesus", ect.

People will continue to vote for the Republicans because people here see them as the party of god and that's all they need. Hopefully that has changed since 2004 and people will vote for the right guy, not the guy who says something about religion every speech.

No, I don't feel sorry for voting for Bush.

Furthermore, the US isn't in recession. If your country is in recession, I'm sorry to hear that. Tighten your belts and you'll pull through.

So you're saying Warren Buffet, the most wealthy man in the world, doesn't know what a recession is?

The fact of the matter is that there IS a worldwide recession, and most countries economies are affected by the U.S. economy, the U.S. economy is not addmitedly controled by its government, but it would be foolish to suggest that it is not affected or in some way or influenced by it, and as such it would be foolish to suggest that most countries economies are unaffected by the decisions made within the american goverment.

I apologize, I'm just so damn sick of this hypocrisy. I mean, when you guys actually do something relevant you all gather up around it, just look at world war 2. How many God damn times haven't I heard the phrase "we saved your arses in world war 2"...or "we invented "random thing"...but as soon as the **** hits the fan, it's no longer "we", instead there's a bunch of excuses.

Sorry for my rant, my just having a bad day, I guess..

Slightly offtopic, but heres a funny fact, im living it up over here in South Africa, and we're also feeling the squeeze on our wallets. So there has been some large increases in the price of food and fuel and so on, so this got the poorer half of the economy deservedly angry. So to show thier dissatisfaction they decided to go on strike last week. This means that a very large portion of the labour force didnt go to work for a whole day, and this caused a very large slow down in the economy over here. Now can any one tell me what the effects of this strike may be? Thats right huge losses in revenue across the country, causing an even tighter squeeze, now heres the real question, who in such an economy would feel it the most? thats right the poorer half of the country, and what do you think these people might do in response to this case of even higher prices, rinse, wash and repeat.

What the ****?

You live in England; you guys get pissed when we do something right (who saved your ***es in WW1 and WW2, again?), and now you're pissed that the business cycle is down (which isn't even the government's fault).

You're pathetic. Just shut the hell up and grow some balls, you piece of crap. What have YOU done for the world, other than create us?

Hey, wait a minute! You didn't create us, we had to whoop your asses first, and then create ourselves! And I'm also guessing you (yourself) haven't done **** for the world (you just started a blatant anti-America topic on a gaming website, ffs), so you don't even get that merit.

So here's my question: Do you feel guilty for creating such a waste-of-internet topic, while the intelligent world is doing their best to get the economy moving again?

No? I didn't think so. This thread obviously proves you aren't part of the "intelligent world", so I wouldn't expect you to comprehend what the word "guilt" even means.

Goodbye.

Whicker89

I too like to join into wars towards the end and then create and collect moments where I "saved the world" & take all the credit, would you like to be part of my bookclub?

WW1: When we joined, we ended the stalemate. We may not have singlehandedly "saved the world", but we pushed the western front back towards Germany, something you did NOT. Hey, you helped though, thanks for that.

WW2: When we joined, we CERTAINLY saved you, thought it's fairly likely Russia could've pushed to Berlin without the Normandy invasion. Great Britain was the last Allied country standing between Berlin and the Americas, so you were next in line to get blitzed. And also, if not for our involvement, even if Russia had taken Berlin you guys might be communist right now...

Not sure where bookclubs come into this...

Dude, Im not english. You in no way saved my country at all. Its easy too look tough when you join AT THE END OF A WAR and frankly its quite an arse thing to single handedly take credit for defeating an enemy when they were already weakened

Yea because after America joined the war magically ended a short time after with America having no part in it

Hmm, ignorance...it has a bitter taste.

In Europe, without U.S intervention, Britain would have held Germany at the Channel and had pushed Italy out of Eygpt. The Soviet Union had pushed Germany away from Moscow; and held them at a stalemate for the time being. Germany had no way of reaching across the Channel, and the airwar was moving in British favour from 1941 onwards - before U.S entry into it.

Britain would have to adapt quicker, but the facts all remain that Germany had no chance of taking Britain. The RAF was raiding Axis Europe by day and night before the famed "Mighty 8th" came on the scene. It wasn't all Britain; as we had our entire Empire to fall back on - which kept up supplies of man and machine all through the war.

The war would have been harder won, but it's obvious that Germany would have not had total victory. Obvious to anyone with a brain.

And to say that USA "saved the world" during WW1 is nonsense. During WWI both sides were equally bad/good, demonizing WWI Germans is purely the result of post WWII culture.

I'm atheist yet I vote Republican and will vote for John McCain this Novemeber.

There are just as many religious freaks on both sides. I know many people who are democrats and very religious. So please, stop being so ignorant.

[QUOTE="jointed"]Note: American's NEVER feel guilty...no matter how huge their fail is.jointed

lawl, wut?

Most problems caused by amerikka stem from the government, not the people. Yeah, some idiots voted for bush, but the rest of us really haven't done anything to feel guilty for...

You're basing your opinion on America on what a bunch of 16 year old kids say in an internet forum? Pathetic....

Oh, I did I hit a nerve?

And I haven't stated my opinion on America yet ;)

Uhhh...no...

And yes, start argueing semantics, because it really does help! I'm sorry, I should of said "Americans". All better now? Can you address the point I made? Or do you really base your opinions of people on internet forums?

 I never even mentioned anything about internet forums...you brought that up, not me.

Well, I thought that was kind of obvious, considering your in one......

Ehm, I'm currently on an internet forum...correct. That does not, however, mean that I live here. The internet isn't everything you know ;)

[QUOTE="Whicker89"]I lulz at the problems now in the US, Looking tough while going poor.SylentButDeadly

Poor? Its a little recession where going through. Its very natural and happens most often near election time. Trust me, America isnt going poor. Hell, this month my dad bought 300,000 dollars worth of cars already adding to the 200,000 we have right now.

This proves you know nothing about the state the US economy is in right now. People I know are losing jobs left and right and have to cut back majorly. This isn't just a "little recession we're going through." This is a much bigger one that has left a lot of people jobless and, well, poor. The fact that your father bought $300,000 worth of cars means that you are a rich republican who knows nothing about living with a tight budget or having to find job and work ridiculous hours so you can put food on the table...because that's what most Americans are doing right now. Seriously, just take a trip to the poor side of your community...You'll see how "little" this recession is.

 @ the TC. He wants us to feel guilty that our country is in a recession? Listen, TC. We're the ones suffering the most here and if your major investors hadn't so heavily relied on American corporations you wouldn't be feeling the global (emphasis on global) recession nearly as hard. England has rode on America's coattails for forty years now, and this is what they were bound to get.

England?

And it hasn't got much to do with UK investors relying on American corporations...the global economic system is far more complicated than that. If the EU was the source, it would affect the US in the same way as the US affects the EU now.

I never said the EU was the source... America probably is the source. But what made it into a truly bad recession is the fact that all countries own a sizeable part of American corporations. They're tying their economy to ours, and this is what happens.

I'm atheist yet I vote Republican and will vote for John McCain this Novemeber.

There are just as many religious freaks on both sides. I know many people who are democrats and very religious. So please, stop being so ignorant.

There are some gays, some atheists, some of nearly every kind of demographic that vote for Republicans, but the vast majority are white christians. It's not some secret that politicians say what the majority want to hear and for some reason the majority wants to hear that. The illusion that they are the party of god is what has had them winning elections. I hear people all the time talking about how they won't vote for Obama because he doesn't talk about religion enough, and even some that think he's a Muslim. So instead of voting for him because of what he is about, they are going to vote for McCain because in their eyes, he and the Republicans are their kind of christians.

I never claim you did. My point was that the American economy relies just as heavily on the Chinese and the EU economies, and that your argument can be used against the US as well.

We're capitalist here. The Gov doesnt control the economy. Your just looking for a scapegoat for your problems.

SylentButDeadly

The topic should have ended with this post. The President doesn't even control the economy in America, let alone the rest of the world.

No because I never voted for him, but even so, 'they' would've put him in place anyways. Especially even more so after JFK Jr's "accident".

Bush was a born again. Every candidate says they are Christian (except Romney) because, let's be honest, can you see an Athiest winning with all of the religious people in the country? The Republicans are usually religious nuts while the Democrats are moderate.

I've personaly never heard anyone say those things.

But yes, there are many white Christians who vote Republican because of religion. But there are also many white Christians who vote Democrat also. Do you think an atheist Democrat would have any chance of getting elected now?

The real Republicans/Conservatives don't vote based off religion.

Well the only atheist in congress is a Democrat, so to an extent I think atheists have a chance to get elected. But in a Presidential race, I don't think so, because people on the right side of the political spectrum would unanimously not vote for him/her. I think a lot of independents and some of the few extremely religious people in the Democrat party would either not vote or vote for the other person.
