Actually, you don't.

Why not?

I'm still mourning them. It's like wearing black after Labor Day. You can't.

There is no such thing as an emo.

And the reason scene kids cut themselves is because that is how they handle their emotional pain and stress. Everyone handles their's in different methods.

Hinata237

that's nonsense, they cut themselves for attention. i've met a couple actual cutters, and they cut themselves in places where people aren't going to see it. emos cut their wrists, so people will see it.

Like I just said, there is no such thing as an emo.

And not all scene kids cut their wrists. Most of them cut their arms, shoulder, ankles, thighs, hair line, stomach and such. Not the wrists.

look at your sig and ava, you're emo, no denying it.

Go ahead, do it

cut yourself.....

I dare you to do it...

i've yet to meet an emo that cuts someplace besides their wrist.

you got me on the wrist thing. but that's still in a place where people can see it. thus still drawing attention. and i've never met that person, so i have still yet to meet an emo that cuts themselves someplace else.

The legs:

My time is coming

you're just further proving my point that emos only cut themselves for attention. you got me with the wrists debacle, but the fact that this broad cut her legs up and then took a picture of it, means she did so to show them off. now, if you have problems to the point where you feel cutting yourself is a good solution, then why would you show them off to people?

She didn't 'cut her legs up and take a picture of it'. Those are scars. They stay with you forever.

whether they're fresh cut's or scars, the point is she still took a picture of them. if those are supposed to be private, then why would she take a picture of them? when the point of taking a picture of something is to show it to other people.

Don't encourage someone to cut themselves. I use non-gender specific pronouns because I can't tell the gender....But still, don't tell people to hurt themselves.

I dress scene, or "emo" as people like to call it :?

Does that mean I cut myself?

swizz-the-gamer

No it means your just another kid deriving their identity from the things they wears and the music he listens to rather than who they are.

I kinda understand what your saying, but I mean im not all out dressing the exact "way" people who listen to the music I listen to usually do. And just becuase you dont like the same music I do, doesnt mean you(or anyone for that matter) should just go randomly hateing it.

I've said it once, I'll say it again. they're typical teenagers who now have the internet as an outlet to whine and complain.

The clothes just came out the music in which all they do is play repetitive power chords and whine and complain about how their girlfriend left them. The cutting came out of this way of "self expression" (read: cry for some ******* attention)

I'd have to agree, if someone cuts themselves out of punishment because they believe they are a worthless being, that's just needing of help, but to express or feel life??? That's just silly, if I'm feeling super sad[I normally don't feel sad, just negativly unemotionally unhappy(Of course it's an emotion, just not strong)], I don't think that would help, unless I was into cutting a masochist acitvity, which I don't think they are....

I would love to be fed through a woodchipper, personally - just toss in the food and I'll open wide, hoping that the food lands in my mouth. It would be hilarious with chili. Or burgers.

I don't cut myself, punch walls or what not. I confront who I'm angry at. But apparently that's too difficult of a concept for many to understand. If i have a problem with someone, I'll tell them straight up.

LOL that is so mean. And Hinata, those pictures are far too gross, why would somebody cut themself? To relieve pain? If they're doing it THAT many times I think they should do it to their necks instead because they're making themselves look like crap and they'll probably even be more sad about their appearance. I'll never get that way of life. :|

The ones I've seen have been far too scared to actually stand in one. They're actually really fun to be in but I got the wind knocked out of me and it HURT. I'm hoping that the emo looking people would stop looking like that if they were to go to Arch Enemy or Children of Bodom.

They were sitting in the chairs or were only there for a bad band called Terror. Eww they suck bad IMO. I was sitting in the chair for them with my friends. :D But other than that, I was standing for a solid 2 hours for Kataklysm and Chimaira and I was so beat after that, I was tired but I'm glad I worshiped the bands I like. :D

EMOS Maybe for some of us is not exist.

But for who is calling him/her self " Emo " so he exist for him/her self nvm what he/she think the EMO means ... a style hair/clothing or cuting him self...

but the problem here is what the point of that? Why you are calling your self as an emo? is it only because of ur hair cut ... or..?

Any way, I know a girl that she's calling her self Emo... she's think that emos should cut them selfs to reflect about thier love... sometimes she think to suicide because she's not afraid of death... Not a convincing reason, is it?

Well, I want to say: if you meet an emo that thinking in a wrong way maybe is a right way for him/her.. but wrong for me, just try to guide him/her to the right way... we are both humans emos or not.

This again? Why can't we just stop talking about them? It's not like they're disappearing because you people don't like them.

Just let them be. If they're happy, who cares? Oh, and by the way, why did we have to resurrect an one month old thread?

Before this gets locked: I have emo friends but I don't believe in their philsophy.
