Why do girls like gay guys more? If I were gay would girls like me more? But then if I was gay I couldn't get the girl anyway.

No.

Girls are not attracted to gay guys.

The kind of attention that a gay guy gets from a girl is not the type of attention that a straight guy wants to get from a girl.

To a girl, a gay guy is pretty much 'another girl.' If you are a straight guy, you DO NOT want to be thought of in this way.

Sure, it may look like gay guys are getting more attention, but it is better to get less attention for appearing 'straight' than getting a lot of the type of attention that a gay guy may get, granted that you are a straight guy and you want a girl.

This isn't meant to offend anyone, sorry if it did.

As a gay person I find this utterly annoying. My taste in clothing is below average at best, I don't enjoy doing women activities, and I hate it when girls flip over me "omg you're gay that's sooooo cute."

And it gets even more annoying when your female friends have a crush on you (happened to me more than once). It makes an awkward situation.

My best friend (who is a girl) is thankfully NOT like that.

That's only if you assume men will only hang out with women if he fancies them. I have loads of platonic girl mates along with a handful of gay friends.

I think that is true. Folks just associate it with folks who are apparently gay or TV or movie stereotypes.

Except for the gay men who, you know, aren't massive, walking stereotypes.

Its a stereotype and usually stereotypes are "wrong" but many of them hold some truth behind it such as this one.

Allow me to go over the things I have been asked to do (and in a few rare cases, have done) by women in the four short years that I have been openly gay:

"Hey, do my boobs look fake to you? They're not, but dumb***** from three doors down has been saying they are."

"Hey, does this underwear go good with the color of my ****?"

"Could you help me with my bra?"

"Could you wear these old panties for a while to stretch them out a bit?"

"Did I cover my butt with enough sunscreen?"

Either they think gay people are girlfriends or they really, really like gay guys.

I also remember this one woman; major crazy *****. She obsessed over me. Had to get her nearly arrested to get her away.

If you think most stereotypes are usually wrong, then where do you think they came from? I mean there are some obvious racist ones that are like jews are cheap and black people are dumb and athletic, but most of them come from at minimum a grain of truth.

Well, if you want to get all technical, than Micahel jackson (or a guy who looks like him when he was black) is enjoying the show.

It just the truth, its not like some guy got bored and started making stereotypes. The perfect example is, every single gay guy I know acts exactly like the stereotypical gay guy. Acts rather girly and are more fashiony, but I only know four gay guys. Its not like im trying to insult people its just the truth.

I have a few gay guy friends, but I wasn't attracted to them because they're gay In fact, I've been friends with them so long that I was actually around when they 'came out,' so I didn't even know that they were gay when I befriended them. Some girls like gay guys because they're sort of like girls but they're guys too. Some girls like to have that "shopping buddy" sort of gay guy. I don't know. I just befriend people. I don't pay attention to stuff like that.

I've had crushes on several gay guys before I knew they were gay Even after I know a guy is gay I still might be attracted to him. I would never treat a gay guy as "pretty much another girl." My very favorite roomie is gay and he's wonderful, but I don't treat him as one of the girls.

I know a plethora of homosexually orientated males that do not act according to the stereotype. You NOTICE the homosexual males that act like the stereotype, and that confirms the stereotype all over again, but alas -- you do NOT notice the homosexual males that do not follow the stereotype, hence you are left with the belief that there are none.

In my experience, the guys who are a bit camp but not 100% gay will usually get more attention. Though thats probably because they are usauly the nicest and/or most fun people as well :P

Lol, okay whatever I'm not saying stereo types are true for every person, but the majority it is. I do know a bisexual guy who doesn't act fruity, but i didn't know if he would go under the category gay man. Hes not normal in any way though.
