so back in the medieval ages, where all music was one, everyone was good looking, correct?Athene_Wins
Where in the medieval ages do you speak of? There is music from several different regions, not to mention that there was different styles of music as well, which weren't as "one" as you put it.
[QUOTE="Lonelynight"][QUOTE="Rikardur"]I listen to european folk music, what does that make me TC?Rikardur
European?
 You've won a balloon!! :D
Meh, ballons sucks.
[QUOTE="jubino"][QUOTE="GodLovesDead"]From my experience:
1) Ugly people listen to metal. I haven't seen one guy wearing a metal shirt of some kind who wasn't ugly (besides me of course).
2) Everything else is too popular therefore its going to be liked by both beautiful people and ugly people.
(Note: 1) doesn't apply to the people making metal. For example, I'd have sex with David Vincent.)
Lonelynight
To #2, in my experience ugly people tend to reject "pop" music, for the very fact that it is popular, and therefore accepted by the "beautiful" people, which is something that can't achieve themselves, and in turn can't relate to.
Or maybe because they are both shallow?
:P
Not all ugly people reject "pop" music. Take Solid Snake for example...
(Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

You ungrateful little snoot.
What are YOU going to do about it?
Huh huh?
it depends on the viewer, maybe not all of us like plastic girls, i know many pretty people that really are into punk and ska.. dont know much about metal but i guess its a matter of taste.
now, about what good music.. do you know anything about "good" music? i dont consider sellouts good musicians. some people here talk about this and agree with the OP but theyre probably even uglier than all the metal boys and girls
[QUOTE="jubino"]Just because you're not wearing a Tool shirt doesn't mean you don't like the band, it just means that you're not insecure about your appearances. I don't think it's so much about the music itself, but rather the idea that Metallica or Tool is tough, and by wearing one of their shirts people will somehow forget how ugly you are and think "Hey man, this guy's tough. He's ugly as sin, but I wouldn't want to mess with him. He's cool."NearTheEndThis dude gets it.
lol @ this topic being pure ether burning through metalheads.
Dear Everyone, if you look at NearTheEnd's signature, you would seen a link titled 'audioscrobbler.' That link will show you what kinds of music he likes. He likes good music, so he's probably quite pretty.
Thanks.

I have found that after improving my musical tastes, I am becoming more attractive. Thread approval.ff7fan2Same here.....its a fact.
People who like tool have great personalities thoughsuperheromonkeyI guess if you can stand the pretension.
It is only your opinion that music/physical beauty is subjective. Luckily for the pretty people, good music and physical beauty are actually objective. Greatgone12:roll: Yeah agreeing with idea is teh awesome....

This thread is about ugly people, not homophobia. Thanks.I find this to be true almost 100% of the time.
Walking around town, I'll see many ugly people wearing tool and metallica t-shirts.
I've yet to see somebody even remotely good looking wear a tool t-shirt. Ever. I'm pretty sure you have to smoke only the worst weed, have only ugly friends, drop out of community college and apply at guitar center to "get" this band. Seriously.
On the other hand, when I'm seeing some cool band play, I notice I'm surrounded by only the most attractive people my town has to offer. No tool fans in sight. Nearly every coffeeshop barista is prettier than 90 percent of the human population, and most of the time, they're hip to some new sounds.
GS, answer my questions:
Does bad music make people unattractive?
OR
Do ugly people just flock to bad music?
Would you hit on a guy/girl that was into Motley Crue?
Regardless of reality, should ugly people listen to good music just in case it helps them even a little?
Discuss.

Classifying metallica as bad music, the "cool band" part, ugh... no comments.

This thread is about ugly people, not homophobia. Thanks. It's okay if you like men, dude. Nobody's stopping you.:|
Also, can ugly people in ugly bands hide their bad case of the ugliez with "High Class" clothes?
You be the judge. (Don't think so)
Seriously, most of the hot girls like R&B music in my experience. This is stereotypically bad music but at least its well produced.
Metal t-shirt wearers are fugly, because they have no fashion sense. I like a metal as much as any other genre but i don't wear a "Killswitch Engage" t-shirt with all their gigs and the dates on them ("oh my gawsh you're so non-conformist" :| ) .
I don't like to toot my own horn much, because if people saw me doing so in real life they'd be envious :P There's my 2 sents/one penny in UK
