Yes, perhaps, but others could say it is admitting one's mistake and rectifying one's error. Or perhaps learning something new and changing your habits.

Flip flopping is a term thrown out there that sounds smart and is easily recognizable as a flaw.

Yup. Why should you stand by your original stance, if you feel that you made a mistake and learned from it? I think it's more admirable, actually.

No i don't like him. Infact i don't like any of the republicans except Ron Pau. But i will say that any of the republicans will be better than any of the democrats.hoola

What makes you think one fascist authoritarian is any better than another? When did you become convinced that your only choices were to be kicked in the stomach or kicked in the head?

Well put it this way. If you go with what the majority of people say they want EVERY TIME, just because the MAJORITY said they wanted it, that doesn't mean it's the best way to go. For instance what if two thirds of Americans said to invade France because they "hurt out feelings". Just because the MAJORITY wants it, doens't indicate it's the most effective choice. It's what bringing new ideas to the table and convincing the people their their original idea was obsolete that shines if you don't flip-flop. Not only that, but it also indicates hesitancy to win the election for egotistical reasons instead of independently coming up with an idea and caring really about the job.

To get this back on track, conformity is blind and unthinking acceptance of the status quo. That's what everyone who believes you must have a leader is guilty of. What do you think you need a leader for? Can you not make up your own mind? Or do you want to rule others too? Do you not know right from wrong without being told? Can you be trusted to mind your own business and not mine? Don't worry. I don't trust you.

I disagree with Romney and McCain on most issues so between them its a toss-up for me. Although I have to say that the more I follow the two I am starting to learn in favor of Romney, and either of the two is far and away better than Huckabee.

How exactly does one 'buy' the presidency? So rather than Romney, you want a guy who admittedly doesnt have a clue about economics?

No, I want neither. Because he has a ton of cash is the only reason he's in the race today. I don't want either of them, but I'd take McCain with Economic advisors over Romney 100 times out of 100. You don't sit in the Senate, on all those committies without some idea of how our economy works. And Romney's knowledge of it is from a business standpoint which is a totally different animal. Gutting a company to resale it is not equal to running the U.S. It's a moot point come Tuesday.

Not to insult anyone's age or intellect here, but there is an old adage that is pretty much true. Educated People with kids that are in the middle class vote democrat, richer (usually educated as well) one's vote republican. The rest fill in the gaps. See it all the time in my friends who were dead set in their ways 15 years ago and have switched accordingly now.

I'm kind of ashamed to be living in teh same country as you. Boston hit the nail right on the head, you are a misguided, angry teenager. The world would not be better with people living like they did in the Midieval Ages, that was horrible. You need to get out more.

I wasn't being specific, teacher. I meant England, no one know wat was oing on. There was so much isolation and peopel just ruling themselves that they didn't care about tehir ruler. What do you think would happen to America if there was no president of if everyone just decided to rule themselves.

I know history just fine and why would I need a dictionary?

You're both off base.

cpo335, I suspect your opinion is informed by a word you think you understand, but haven't actually researched. i'm anarcho-capitalist and a voluntaryist. until you understand what that means, you should refrain from making assumptions.

bo5ton, i love you too.
