If this thread is just about legality, then the answer if of course, heck they have the right period. But, there needs to be strategy involved if you are a Transexual hunting/on the prowl for unknowing straight prey.

SolidTy

I kind of take offense to the prey bit. That makes us sound like we want to inflict harm, and that we're looking to inflict it on a certain group of people. Like most social environments(at least from my perspective as a "MtF" woman), guys approach us. Who, then, is on the prowl and looking for prey? Is it not true a fair chunk of people look to hook up at bars for some easy sex? That lasting relationships usually don't spawn from such areas?

I won't pretend to know a lot of other transpeople, I only have a few good friends who are, but all we do is dance at the bars and whatnot. Some flirting at times, that's it. We don't go looking, we know where that road leads. *shrug*

TC im getting sick of your pro homosexual threads. thats called false advertising and i hate false advertising. if that ever happened to me, the transexual would go missing.

Well, that transsexual would join hundreds of other missing transsexuals whose disappearance society has turned a blind eye to. It's actually a pretty decent scheme, really. Find desperate transsexuals by selling black market hormones. Leverage them for favors, work them into sex trade. Use them for income, and you either get good net income from pimping the transsexual, or the client kills the transsexual and takes care of the body themselves. If the body turns up, the family, not wanting to face the shame of having a transsexual prostitute child being in the news, covers it up and does a quiet burial. Or, if they do protest the death, it doesn't go anywhere because no one really cares too much about us.

It's sad, but you could probably get away with it. You would be a horrific person if you did though.

For a while, yes. Transexuals should pose questions to their date and examine the answers; that'll tell them if they should come out to the date. If there's homophobia or transphobia in the answers, get out of there ASAP. I'd be flattered if my date came out to me; and it would turn me on to know that he/she trusts me enough to do it.

you guys do know that once someone has their penis removed and goes through a sex change, that their vagina is pretty much just a slit? Anyone whos older then 7 would know the difference between a womans private parts, and a woman who has gone through a sex change operation. Its not like they implant a actual vagina afterwards. Look at pictures if you really careMetallicaKings
I had so many jokes rush into my mind. But for the sake of not offending any transsexuals, I'll just say "Hehehe. Interesting. xD"

I don't think it should be legal imo.. You have to announce if you have an std and know it, just as with many other situations pretending to be someones boyfriend/husband/wife/girlfriend is considered rape, i feel this should fit in the same category..it's not like pretending to be a firefighter when you're really an accountant or that you're actually from Prague instead of new jersey.

I wouldn't place it along the lines of rape or STDs at all. :? I can understand guys being hung up about the penis thing, so I could understand feeling absolutely violated if a pre-op didn't inform the guy before sexual relations. However, after transition, I don't see the issue. I mean, especially once transition is complete and the government has changed all ID to reflect it. Pre-op, I can see issue with. Post-op, not so much. That's me though, and I'll admit I'm just as biased as any one of you on the topic.

I mean, I personally would inform. I think it's absolutely stupid and dangerous and kind of disrespectful not to, but aside from that I don't see much issue.

Because in MANY people's eyes, once a man always a man, once a woman always a woman, cutting some things off, taking some pills does not change your gender. Deceiving how the person sees who you were naturally, i would compare it to getting someone extremely drunk so they don't know how attractive you are so they sleep with you.

Transexuals should not have to tell people they are a transexual. As far as i'm concerned they are that gender now.

How do you not see the hypocrisy of this? You're asking others to accept your choices and preferences, but you don't accept theirs?

MichBelle

It's only hypocrisy of a non-progressive person is asking someone to accept their choices and preferences.

I don't mind transgender people, I will refer to them in their new gender I will not show any objection to their choice to have a sex change. If I met a transgender in a bar (without knowing they were transgender) I might get drunk. find her attractive and could even end up sleeping with her. If I then found out it was a transgender person I had slept with I would be emotionally angry and mabye even feel physically sick. Now obviously I would have been attracted to them (I slept with them), but I simply would not feel happy with myself having slept with one. this may be due to ignorance or insecurities, I dont know, but I don't care either because the physcological and even physical effect it would have on me would be a negative one no matter what the reason. I dont believe transgenders should have to inform strangers, nor should they have to blurt it out on a first date, but if you are about to enter a longterm relationship, or even a short term sexual one, I truley believe you should be moraly (if not legally) obliged to inform your partner. At the end of the day, being a transgender would have a significat effect on whether or not many men would choose to sleep with a woman so withholding this information seams deceptive at best and cruel at worst.

The better option is to make a brand new thread, instead of bumping an old one. Bringing back old threads from the dead isn't allowed.
