Pretty much this. The distances involved in space travel make it hard to fathom that another species has evolved the intelligence to create the technology, without destroying their planet in the process like we're doing, to cover those distances.

@bforrester420: why would they need to build a spaceship, building is a human thing it's us that would have to build a spaceship, humans "build" things, what makes you think aliens behave like us, do u think they build alien houses and schools and hospitals, have alien police, alien cars.We live as humans, our way of life may have no similarities at all to alien life. An alien life form could be a mass of living energy able to manipulate matter at will, they could be at one with the universe able to withstand the harshness of space and use spaces wavelength to travel vas distances Or an alien life form could be something that we have no words to describe. When thinking of alien life forms don't just think they act and do things just like us and have arms and legs mouth two eyes, it's ridiculous to think that.

everyone will know by 2017 that ET exist so yeah i believe aliens exist. they watch over us just waiting for the right time to reveal themselves. we are just not ready yet.

I believe in the distinct possibility that life exists on another world other than our own. However i can't say whether these aliens are advanced organisms like ourselves or simply micro-organisms. The possibility of micro-organisms existing elsewhere is pretty much a guarantee. Do beings that have mastered space travel across stars exist? That's another issue entirely and one i don't think we can definitively answer at the moment.

I believe that intelligent civilizations exist elsewhere, the size of our universe is mind boggling. We might not even know of any other civilizations during humanity's existence it all depends on how far away they are.

Absolutely yes, there's no doubt in my mind whatsoever there are other civilations out there aside from us.

It actually annoys me when people even ask the question. the sheer breadth of life on this planet alone even in the most acidic inhospitable environments life flourishes abundantly, its absolutely everywhere we look here so if it can thrive here it can absolutely thrive elsewhere.

Based on how life is currently defined, that would in fact not be life.

For starters, UFO's are UNIDENTIFIED flying objects. And if they are UNIDENTIFIED, then that doesn't provide any evidence for the existence of aliens. The whole fact that they're UFO's mean that we don't know what the hell they are, so it certainly doesn't make for evidence of anything in particular.
