Yes. Always. I know that the theater's profits on tickets are razor thin, so most of their money comes from concessions, and I want them to stay in business. Plus a soda and popcorn are part of the experience for me.

Yeah that's pretty much me as well, although it's not so much me having a concern over the major chain theatres that I go to surviving as I just think it's part of the movie going experience.
Oh I have no concern about the chain theaters, but the one I go to here is a local owned mom-n-pop.
[QUOTE="Jd1680a"]
I never do. Normally I would have breakfast or lunch before so my mind wouldnt want to get anything.
campzor
wow...most people i know go at night :/
yes i do, not everytime.. only when my gf wants some

Oh I'm sorry I wasn't very clear there. I meant that I do it for the same reasons as you, but those times when I go to theatres that are just big chains it becomes less about supporting the theatre and more about enjoying a tradition of mine. But kudos to you for your support.
ooo just might have to bring ice cold new castle next timeNo. Sometimes I'll smuggle in beer though.

I'll normally bring a bottle of water with me because the ones being sold there are like $4. I generally don't feel the need to stuff my face with artery-clogging popcorn, nor do I care to contribute to the obnoxious chomping noises you hear during quiet scenes.
And while I'm on the subject, people who clap and cheer during movies are as$holes.
this is the reason i go 12-3ish in the daytime. 5 people MAX piece and quit no one make noise, clapping, snoring, LOUD mouth breather behind you. and BEST PART it's usually half price....I'll normally bring a bottle of water with me because the ones being sold there are like $4. I normally try to see things around midday a few weeks after it comes out for that reason. But some friends wanted to see The Avengers on opening day. Needless to say, the entire theater erupted into applause no less than like eight times.
It's pretty rare these days when I get popcorn and drinks. Ticket prices are up and so are the snacks.
never. i either go thirsty, or smuggle in a drink.
Yes.
69 dude!

haha do you specifically look for threads with 68 posts in it, or does it just happen coincidentally?
Theater popcorn is hot buttery intercourse that I'm sure is bathed in the love juice of Halle Berry.

Unfortunately their programming is pretty much on par with the huge chains. I'd hope being a small indie they'd go a little outside the norm, but I guess they gotta go with what will maximize receipts.
*beer-bro fist* I don't get why theaters don't just sell it. Their profits would be through the roof.[QUOTE="Animatronic64"]
Nah, I sneak in beer and chocolate.

Maybe because some idiots will go drunk and start a ruckus?
To answer the OP, most of the time. Doesn't feel right to watch a movie on the big screen without some popcorn and a large (or XX large if you know what I mean) drinks.
I always feel a little bit conflicted about popcorn. On one hand, I obviously want the plae to stay in business, so I feel good about buying popcorn. On the other hand, I've sat next to people eating popcorn, and it can get REALLY annoying. When I do buy popcorn, I often find myself deliberately trying to be as quiet and discreet about its consumption as possible. You know...because I hate rude people, so I'm trying to to be a loud rude eater. Basically, "If you hate something, don't you do it too." But then sometimes I find that I've been trying too hard to not be a jackass, and was thinking more about being courteous than I was thinking about the actual movie.Yes. Always. Popcorn and drinks from cinemas are ridiculously expensive, so I bring my own popcorn and a bottle of Pepsi.
usually popcorn and and amedium to large soda
and how does one bring a cheeseburger in if you dont have a gf or wife?
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]*beer-bro fist* I don't get why theaters don't just sell it. Their profits would be through the roof. I don't think people would enjoy watching movies with a bunch of loud mouth drunks. There's plenty of loud mouth sober people in there at a given time. A couple beers would quiet people down a lot more than make them more rowdy. With how many theaters are having a hard time keeping their doors open in the 21st century, they need to get with the times in some way and actually make theaters a fun experience again. Selling beer would also greatly increase their profits.[QUOTE="Animatronic64"]
