Yes because my theater sells this awesome Carmel popcorn. And you can get a mix of sweet and salt if you want. The only drink I ever buy is water.helwa1988
Water? Can you just get it from the tap?
Well, I don't know if tap water is drinkable in the US but they are in the UK.
No, because I don't eat popcorn and I don't drink juice or soda. Also, those items as well as all of the others that are available at the theater are too expensive.

The question is simple: Can you drink water from the tap in the US? (if you live there.)

Why is this 'Huh?'
I always feel cheap asking for tap water in say a restaurant. The cashier always gives me a real disapproving look. Often it's not even for myself it's for who I'm with, they're too embarrassed to ask.

*facepalm* If you can drink it in the UK, why the hell wouldn't you be able to drink it in the US?[QUOTE="Pirate700"]Huh? Why is this 'Huh?' *facepalm* If you can drink it in the UK, why the hell wouldn't you be able to drink it in the US?Oh, so it must be drinkable then. Many European countries are not drinkable, you would have to buy bottles of them from supermarkets.
I remember that water didn't taste as fresh as my home country when I spent my time in the US. But okay.

It seems that you need to be educated about the outside world before bashing at someone.

I know other countries have undrinkable tap water. Anyone who thinks the US wouldn't have drinkable tap water is the one who needs education...[QUOTE="GamerwillzPS"]

Ok you're either an idiot or a troll...or both. Which is it?Then you obviously need to leave your country for a bit.
I've been in the US before and there are things that I dislike or found crazy.
Rarely, when I do its either a slushie or a alcoholic beverage (the theater near us has license to serve it)... Outside of that I sneak everything else in.. Candy is marked up like 3 or 4 times, and popcorn is just as bad.. sSubZerOoCan you get alcoholic slushies?
Yes, tap water in the US is potable (drinkable) and if you really want a beer while watching a movie and having a dining experience while doing so, a Cinema and Draughthouse is a good place to go.
Or we can just keep bringing in our own food and drinks and not giving theaters our money...Yes, tap water in the US is potable (drinkable) and if you really want a beer while watching a movie and having a dining experience while doing so, a Cinema and Draughthouse is a good place to go.

They're not charging so much for that stuff because they're greedy, they're doing it (at least partly) because they pretty much have to in order to stay in business. I don't always even consume food/drink while watching movies in te theater. But if I do, I will do so in a way that actually contributes to that theater being able to still stay in business.MrGeezer
I see the point here, but unfortunately there are a lot of people who can't actually afford to go to the movies if they have to spend and extra $30 on drinks and food. For people with kids this is especially hard, because the kids WANT snacks. $100 for a family of four to go to the movies for two hours is crazy.
I'd rather bring my own candy but buy a drink there, and go twice because I saved enough money on the candy that I can, rather than not go at all.
*beer-bro fist* I don't get why theaters don't just sell it. Their profits would be through the roof.Because they don't want a bunch of drunk yahoos scaring off families. That's a nonsense excuse. If that was really their fear, restaurants wouldn't sell alcohol.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]

Nah, I sneak in beer and chocolate.
