I dislike them if they try to force their religion and dogma on me.

Ace_WondersX

Which they do. Its becoming one of the most dominant religions in the world and its only growing bigger.

Is there a problem with it being the world's largest religion?

If that majority is used to opress the minority then yes.

On a mass scale identification with religion seems to be dying down, at least in the western world. This allows more unification of all people. Whereas Musilms promote separation, where they want their ideologies incorporated in the westernized society.

Indeed, its a scary thing to see islamic dogma like sharia law getting the green light in some European countries. Then theres that campaign to get all criticism of islam banned and labeled hate crimes...

Sharia law in Saudi Arabia =/= Sharia law

Most people fail to understand that.

I'm saudi, and that statement is 100% true. The "Sharia" law in saudi arabia hardly represents Islam.

Countries don't represent Islam. Granted, Saudi Arabia does have Sharia law, but something is bound to be wrong when rape victims are punished for adultery in that country.

The Muslims I know are all either easy-going and/or very very nice. Except some of the ones I've have had disagreements with while driving. Though I've had disagreements with people of all backgrounds... I'm glad I don't drive anymore.

Nope. I've had a few friends at work who were. What I'd like to know is how many people hate Muslims and how many Muslims hate people of other beliefs. I think they're generally pretty tolerant, although I've heard that atheists are kind of the lowest of the low for them.

Seems that this so called 'sauid only' interpretation is a very popular one. Just looking at the basics it can be seen that islamic sharia law is the third most popular legal system in the world. I guess saudia arabias population exploded since last I checked...

I don't have a Muslim friend, nor do I know a Muslim personally. Although, I did take the time to read the beginning of the Koran and I really liked the verses. And very surprised by some of them too such as that all Abrahamic religions will find paradise. But that's it, only the beginning. I despise Islamic law and how Islam is used to manipulate the masses to commit such atrocities.

I'm not sure how a person can dislike or hate others based on a person's religion. It's asinine. It would make more sense to dislike or hate a person based on their actions regardless of what religion they are.

BUT there are those who dislike or hate others based on the colour of one's skin or race, so hating someone based on their religion isn't so far fetched I suppose.

Btw, in the Middle East, they twist Islam like crazy, for example, women have no freedom whatsoever, whereas the Quran states that men and women are equal.
