This is not a religions debate, I'm just wondering. What's your religion, and do you own a Bible?
I'm Christian-Episcopalian and: Yes I own 3 Bibles. 2 of them have my name engraved into them.

You do realize that this will most likely end up turning into a religious debate?xxDustmanxxScientology > Religion.
You do realize that this will most likely end up turning into a religious debate?xxDustmanxxI'm hoping the late-night OT will be more mature than the daytime and actually have a civilized conversation regarding religion without saying one person is wrong.

I guess I'll go with Athiest but I'm more of an Agnostic. - anyway, yes, and I'm Agnostic (because I don't necessarily believe in just 1 book, I believe that the scientific evidence and archeological evidence shows that a lot of things in most of the books are true. - Apparently you aren't allowed to believe that God has anything to do with science though, so I stay under the radar and say Agnostic, otherwise hardcore evolutionists attack me)
[QUOTE="SmashBrosLegend"]No sir, I do not.yellowandmushyYet you call yourself a Libertarian. :x
What? Libertarians believe in Separation of Church and State more-so than the Democrats or Republicans, and also believe that the government should have no say in personal moral issues (such as gay marriage).
You do know the bible isn't just one book right?I guess I'll go with Athiest but I'm more of an Agnostic.

Yeah it's a compilation of a bunch of them. I have a tiny one of Psalms (some christian union at my college was handing them out)
I am an atheist but I do own a copy of the KJV Bible, the old and new testaments, as well as a handful of books on christianity of an apocryphal nature. I also have a small collection of books on various religions of the world such as the Tanakh, some of the Vedas, the Qur'an, Tao-te Ching, and some texts on the Buddha as well as Confucianism and then of course a few small texts on Shinto although it's rare that anybody asks me about the worship of foxes. :P
I've always meant to get more caught up on them as it's been quite a while since I've read them but I have friends who are religious scholars (or nuns and priests in some cases) and so I find myself lazily relying on them for the accuracy of anything that I making a reference to. I'm just getting too lazy these days but for some reason I keep coming across copies of the Tanakh laid out in front of me and I feel somewhat compelled to read it and see if I better understand it since so much time has passed. We'll see.
I've got one at home, and one at school... My school's Anglican (BTW, schools with a Religious program are much more common here in Oz than Yankeeland)
An interesting fact... Did you know that at my school last year, Bibles were the #1 most frequently vandilized book?

The Bible might be sold more than any book in history but it is also the most burned...

Yeah, we had to read them at school, it was interesting, but hard to read. We have a few at home too.I've got one at home, and one at school... My school's Anglican (BTW, schools with a Religious program are much more common here in Oz than Yankeeland)

I have 2 English copies (one fairly old) and a really tiny German copy.
The internet has reduced the need for me to go and buy more religious material.
I am a Christian and I own 15 Bibles lol.... The reason I have so many is because I like to have a lot of versions for reference. I have kjv(3), niv(3), nasb(3), esv(1), nlt(1), the message(1), and some spanish version(1). I also have a Bible in the original Greek and another in Hebrew. I use my esv for personal study as well as the Greek and Hebrew. I carry around a pocket niv around with me and to church as it is the most common version outside of kjv.mindstorm
lol thats pretty awesome
