Depends on the Anime, but I usually prefer Japanese audio. Primarily because it usually sync better.

English mostly, I cant stand the high pitch and whiny vocal sounds of cute lovely girls of anime shows when they start off talking their mouths endlessly...

Ugh.

If I could understand Japanese, this question would be alot easier to answer but in some animes or video games there shouldn't even be an English version. It sounds just horrible(for example KOF Maximum Impact).

Anime? I don't know, they're both screwed. English dubs are terrible and the Japanese spoken in anime sounds childish. But if I had to pick, I'd pick the Japanese, but I'd stay away from shounen.

Japanese, usually dubs are done cheaply by bad voice actors, some are good though like Cowboy Bebop, also airing fansubs are released quicker

Meh, I'm fine with either dubbed or subbed. I watched Code Gaess in both dubbed and subbed, and I was still able to enjoy it either way.

If I was forced to watch anime, neither. I wouldn't want to listen in English because then I could understand the strange and poorly-worded things they were saying. I wouldn't want to listen in Japanese because I really hate how that language sounds. I'd want to listen in French or something, so I wouldn't be annoyed by either problem. :)

Japanese is a great language, it's just anime that bastardizes it with their kimi, ore and omae's. :x Spoken Japanese sounds nothing like shounen anime Japanese.

It's just no my thing. :? The portuguese dubs are so funny it makes up for it. They have random out of place portuguese references that just bring me to tears.

Depends on the quality of either voice acting. If the English dub is good, such as Full Metal Panic, Fullmetal Alchemist or Azumanga Daioh, then I'll watch it with English dub. In the usual case the English dub is akin to sticking toothpicks in my toenails and kicking a wall then I'll watch it with subs. In the unlikely event of the Japanese being inherently unlistenable (re: Mana Khemia) then it's English.

Definitely Japanese.

It just sounds better. English actors tend to suck.

But sometimes I won't feel like reading subtitles.

Only in Japanese. I haven't heard a single decent english dub. Out of curiosity I tried to watch Great Teacher Onizuka with an english dub - it made my ears bleed.

Depends on the anime. If it has high-quality dubs like Cowboy Bebop or Devil May Cry (the guy who does Dante in DMC3 & 4 does Dante in the anime) then I can watch it in English. But I prefer it in its originally recorded language: Japanese. Why? Because English voice actors mostly suck and none of them can match the emotive ability of the original Japanese VA's. You don't need to understand the language to hear tonal changes in people's voices... and if not done properly, the recording effects the overall quality of the anime.

EDIT: I have yet to watch Devil May Cry in Japanese. Its the only anime that I've ever watched where I've only watched the English.

wtf? How can people prefer english dub anime over the orginal japanese dub with english subtitles.?

The english version usually censors and edits many many scenes.

By watchign the english dub you are usually getting a watered down version of the anime.

Well, I've seen DBZ in English, Spanish and Japanese, and what I didn't like about the English dub is that they changed the soundtrack and some of the phrases were wrong, for example the "OVER 9000" phrase.
