I've smoked since 15 and I am 23 now. I did quit for about a year but when i turned 18 that kinda went out the window. I started smoking because thats what my friends did. It wasn't really peer pressure but just another way to be social for me as I already am a very shy person.
I do want to eventually quit in the next few years and have cut down a bit over the last two years. But I do actually enjoy the act of smoking and as I am addicted makes me feel better from time to time.
Thats my two bits
[QUOTE="MythofSisyphus"]Yes, I smoke weed a few times a month. Why? If you have to ask that you have obviously never tried it. It pretty much makes everything more fun. EVERYTHING is better.krazyorange
speaking of, how long does it stay in your system if you don't do it often at all?
about a week tops, if you don't do it that often.[QUOTE="krazyorange"][QUOTE="MythofSisyphus"]Yes, I smoke weed a few times a month. Why? If you have to ask that you have obviously never tried it. It pretty much makes everything more fun. EVERYTHING is better.dooly420

Same, just breathing in the smoke from a plant... eww.[QUOTE="spidermonkey11"][QUOTE="dooly420"][QUOTE="krazyorange"][QUOTE="MythofSisyphus"]Yes, I smoke weed a few times a month. Why? yes, but that irrelevant. no one really does a hair follicle test. it's way to expensive.[QUOTE="TanKLoveR"][QUOTE="Devil_Huntress"]No, I don't. It never appealed to me.linkthewindow

Same, just breathing in the smoke from a plant... eww. It's more like...inhaling the essence of the plant. It's actually the plant itself, just in a gas form. You're consuming the plant through different means. It's pretty cool, that is, if it's cannabis. Tobacco is yucky.

I've had a hair follicle test before. Ironically, it was for a job at a cigarette store! Good thing I was actually on a 6 month break from herb at the time, and my hair wasn't too long. I passed.
No way. My dad smokes. When I was like 7 I found out it was bad for you and I hid all his cigarettes because I didn't want him to die.
Lung cancer. No thanks. Spending all that money. No thanks. The smell. No thanks.
There is no good reason to smoke, it's only to relieve an accquired dependancy which is very costly, health wise and financially.
Have a glass of milk instead.

agree....

talk about a waste of money.Do you smoke? Yes.
Why? Because I enjoy it.
But what about your health? I don't care.
Well, what about others around you? See above.
No. Because cigarettes are a little too expensive. Seriously.
And they smell bad, but I never notice how I smell when I'm smoking.
Yes. I started smoking in my senior year of high school, so almost 2 years now. It was not peer pressure but the fact that it helped me sober up if I drank too much. I smoke more now that I'm in college, to help deal with the stress of school work and sometimes other people or if I'm taking a break. I wouldn't say I'm addicted as I hate spending money on cigarettes. And I smoke about a pack every 2-3 weeks. I will try to quit sophmore year, but of course everyones going to say "yeah right".
[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]No. Don't insult my intelligence. ^_^JandurinHah. You took care of that all by yourself :) How so?

I smoke cigarettes on a regular basis, which would make me a smoker.
I do it because I choose to, because it is relaxing. I know the risks and dangers to my health that are involved, yet I make my choices and enjoy my vices like anyone else.
How so?SolidSnake35By implying that you would have to be devoid of or not intelligent to have picked up smoking.

It's not exactly the word's smartest decision to start smoking, is it? I've never tried one and I never will. It'll save me money, my heath and my image. The problem of addiction won't even be a factor either.

Heh, I was just exaggerating with my initial point, if only to show how much I hate smoking. Obviously I don't think that one instance is enough to make a person completely stupid in everything they do.
