Do you swear in front of your parents?

My parents are hipocrits and they are always telling me how bad swearing is. I never have sworn in front of them, it is always my sister who does, if I did they would get pissed and tell me: "watch your mouth!" I know they don't like it so I don't swear in front of them, otherwise, I swear all the time. I know some people whose parents don't care at all and their parents even swear towards them.

I don't even swear unless I have no choice when repeating something. So no lol.

no. They don't curse while i'm around very often either. I guess i was just brought up not to and i almost never curse even with my friends, just alone or under my breath

No, in fact I've never heard an adult older than 30 swear other than on TV. All swear words are somehow completely gone from my vocabulary when I talk with most people, but with friends, I swear every minute.

Its pretty much the only time I do swear... my parents and I are tight.

No it just feels weird. Although my parents (especially my mom) swear in front of me all the time.

Yes. It is not that taboo in Iceland. It is deeply rooted in their vocabularies as well (or, at least my fathers). I see swearing as a way to add color to your language if anything.

My Mom hits me everytime I drop a curse around her. Bad habits from my military days. My dad doesn't give a ****.

Most of the time I haven't a reason to swear at them/infront of them, when I do, it's not really a big deal. Which makes me glad, since I hate "much ado about nothing" situations.

Sometimes it will slip out in front of my dad. Never with my mom though. I don't swear all that often though. Only when I get mad or excited.

Oh yeah, I swear a ton in front of my parents, and they swear right back. Its very casual. I live in a very open household, where you can talk about anything, and I feel thats the way it should be.
