I'm not from America but seeing all this debt, problem, healthcare, war ect, made me think that within the next 50 years, America will not be in the lead. Well it's my opinion so don't judge me.
Okay, I edited the title so it'll be more appropriate.

ALl depends on the results of the 2012 election. If we elect Palin as President, then the answer is yes. If not, the answer is maybe.
Edit: I'm only mostly kidding :P. Anyway, in all honesty conservatives are going to wreck the country. Its social darwinism: survival of the most adaptible. As long as conservatives are in power, we won't adapt, but if liberals are in power, we will adapt too fast. We need more centrists!
Well fall as in not in the lead. And I found out that America's healthcare is horrible. Atleast we get free treatment and medicine. But French's healthcare is the best, basically everything is free there.
Possibly and being from the USA I kind of hope it does. Would be an interesting time to live in watching the country fall apart. Could do with some excitement.
Man you edited the title so now its less fun. I figure we already lost the lead awhile ago

I would like to see us copy the Dutch system and it would be the most realistic compromise.

All depends upon the results of the 2012 election. If Obama is reelected, we are doomed.:P:lol:
I didn't mention Palin, as I'm not sure she will run.
Palin is probably not running for President. Maybe, but if she does, I'll vote against her. But then, I don't want to vote for Obama either. America will not fall, but it's economy will.ALl depends on the results of the 2012 election. If we elect Palin as President, then the answer is yes. If not, the answer is maybe.

Yes, we are all going to be taken over by China, be forced to learn Manderin, and watch bad animes for the rest of our lives. My child however, will not be subjected to such torture.
we be fine if our goverment wasn't too scared of it's own people and what china would do.... it's truly a easy fix for our jobs... you tell company's thats in 201x we will put a lock down on importing your goods.... company's know Americans would buy cars/computers/toys for kids and bla bla so what you think they going to do? pack up and move
but really america will stay on top reason is it's size. every state =one countery unlike in eurpope no ones really connected... but this could also be downfall to
we need ditch this politic world and get some real people up in office

The Army and National Guard taking over I cannot imagine what that would be like. Judging on alot of your posts, I really don't think you really like it here. Go live in China for a year and see if you change your mind.

So you have to blindly support the country to live here huh? Also why the need to compare ourselves to 3rd world countries to make ourselves feel better, why not Norway or Germany.

People often do that if you say you don't like living in the USA. They usually say move to China or North Korea generally forgetting all the other great countries out there that one could live in happily. England, Ireland, Australia, Canada, etc etc(I know I am leaving out alot of good countries hence the etc etc)No considering the rest of the civilized world is in worse financial shape right now. I don't get where some here are getting this image that this is only a US problem.
Pirate700
Well germany and japan are actually doing well.. but they have always been doing well. China is also fine for the most part, I honestly think the US will actually just lose its military super power but still remain extremely influential. The days of great countries crumbling are over.

Japan is hurting also. As for the military power. Not in our lifetime. Nobody puts the resources into it that we do.I wonder what puts us in the lead now? We're low in education, health care quality, poverty, hell even manufacturing is falling off. The only thing we're first in right now is military.

Well American is probably one of the most influencial country in the world.
Our health care QUALITY is the best in the world. I take it you mean insurance wise.I wonder what puts us in the lead now? We're low in education, health care quality, poverty, hell even manufacturing is falling off. The only thing we're first in right now is military.

Oh I won't doubt that you would still have the best, but I don't think it would be as expansive in 50 years. Though I could be wrong considering that you guys are the world leading arms exporter and you need to stay on top to keep that position.

I honestly doubt it with how much I really do not like living here. I don't mind if I end up in a country with a little less of something if it means I don't have to deal with living here anymore. That is all that needs to be said. Its a personal preference and I don't want to debate it nor am I trying to, in general, trash the USA. The quality of our care is really not different from that in any other western country. Some are better for different conditions than others. Where we horribly fail compared to the others is accessibility and costs.
