It's how we treat the animals to get our meat. Given, animals hunt one another out there, but even then, their way to get their food is less cruel than the companies that we own.
However, eating meat is not "wrong". I assume that we eat meat to gain sufficient nutrients and the like. That's why other animals eat other animals... To help sustain themselves. Yes, it sounds selfish but we were born with a stomach, that needs a few different things and meat happens to be one of the most efficient ways to obtain such elements, for a reason. We were obviously meant to eat each other.
Technically, we could eat one another... It may be more productive if we did... We're not going to become extinct any time soon and we are facing an over population problem--Eating the 'freshly dead' would provide more space for things... We are, in the end, a 'natural resource'. Odd how we have a superiority complex that makes us believethat we are not qualified to be used as a resource (arguable... Slaves were used for personal gain but, back then, they weren't considered as "a person"). But, no, that's sick because society says so.
And, really...
Many people, both religious and non religous, believe that eating meat is morally wrong.
I for one believe that we have the power and right to manipulate them into a source of vital nutrients, as the superior species of this world.
And you, OT?

"Superiority Complex" always ends in one way and one way only: sh*t
