I wouldn't put it past Obooboo to steal a national election after the way he stole the hearts and minds of many Dems since his debut on the national stage.

Voter fraud probably happens in every election to some degree. There's just too much going on in a national election for that not to be the case. Obama won fair and square, though (well, as fairly as you can in this bleak corporatist republic).

Its really hilarious that people can be so stupid in trying to make voter fraud out to be a big deal.. It isn't.. Its like stealing mail.. The consequences for your actions are far too great to outweigh any of the advantages you could ever get.. You would have to commit fraud at such a large scale furthermore to even have an effect.. The only thing of serious note in this election was the disenfranchising of numerous voters in stopping this boggeyman of voter fraud.

Nope, the fiscal cliff exists because the G.O.P. wasn't willing to back a debt ceiling increase without severe concessions because they literally think that threatening default (read: your economy is screwed to sh!t for literally decades to come and billions of people around the world experience significant decreases in living standards) to get policies they like passed and to make the President look bad is acceptable behaviour. The second part would have worked too if they weren't so blatant about their tactics.

Yeah its not like they held the country hostage with the last debt limit and forced their policies down their throats.. Oh wait.. ITs hilarious that your trying to defend this and then act like YOUR the one that knows whats going on.. The democrats are most certainly not perfect, but they are not batsh!t crazy like the Republican party.. One only need to look at the Republican primary at their "top" candidates just to illustrate how fvcking crazy and stupid the Republican party has become..

Oh yes around 2000 aleged voter fraud cases from 2001 to now.. That seems perfectly reasonable to pass a law that would disenfranchise millions of people.. Which I might add were all passed by Republicans because it targeted pro democrat groups..

Voter fraud effects- on average, about 6 votes per American election. Clearly, it's a big deal.

I think disenfranchising is a real thing. (I am also liberal as f*ck, so here comes the bias train). The more limitations you put on voting... obviously the fewer people that can vote.

I have extreme doubts about that. McCain was a pretty bad candidate who wouldn't be even half as good as Romney at raising money. Plus, it's a myth that Obama would be easy to beat if they ran somebody other than the circus that was the Republican field or Romney. Nate Silver showed pretty convincingly that the economy was improving just enough for Obama to squeak out a victory and his approval ratings were easily at re-election levels. He was definitely vulnerable, but not easy to beat. The Republicans would need a politician far better than McCain, who comes across as kind of senile sometimes, to beat him.

Also, one also needs to consider that Obama probably ran the best campaign in history. The technology, voter turnout and voter contact systems that they were using were unparalleled, David Axelrod is a genius at what he does, and Obama is still a much better political performer than anybody on the Republican side of the aisle. How in the world was someone like McCain supposed to compete with that? He wouldn't be able to. The Republicans would need somebody much more competent.

Lastly, McCain all ready was rejected by voters. There's no reason to think the country would all of a sudden want him just because Obama's turned out to be dissapointing to alot of people. He kind of discredited himself with his pick of Sarah Palin and the goofy and desperate stunts he pulled when it was clear that his campaign was in trouble. I see no evidence that he'd be much better than Romney, though I do admit that Romney was the kind of easily demonized opponent that the Obama people, who knew the President was vulnerable, were craving. In fact, alot of the time Romney did their work for them.

The only thing of serious note in this election was the disenfranchising of numerous voters in stopping this boggeyman of voter fraud.sSubZerOo

Simply having an ID is not disfranchising. When did our country become so stupid that it cannot follow simple rules that have been set up for a long time?

Oh yes around 2000 aleged voter fraud cases from 2001 to now.. That seems perfectly reasonable to pass a law that would disenfranchise millions of people.. Which I might add were all passed by Republicans because it targeted pro democrat groups..

Why do I need a license to drive? am I be disenfranchised? Why have an ID at all? Why even have rules? it makes my life harder. When did our country become so stupid?

[QUOTE="LiquidAjax"] Awesome. So you could just vote as someone else? I swear common sense is lost these days.LiquidAjax

I'm guessing you've never actually voted.

I've voted since the 90's. I always bring my ID, because i'm not lazy and stupid.

Yes, so do I as I never leave the house without my wallet and my ID never leaves my wallet. Yet I've never been asked to show it in order to vote, and neither have you unless by ID you mean a free voter's ID.

I got asked to show ID to vote this year. I live in Indiana where the Voter ID law passed.

And what did you pay for this ID?

well let's see, I presented my driver's license so to obtain that I first needed a learners permit which costs nothing, then I went through drivers-ed which did cost something (though I don't remember what), then I took the test which I don't remember it costing anything.

My license lasts for five years which according to thiscosts $19.50, and since I had to renew it for proper information due to recently moving there was an additional $10 fee.
