It should be a mutual agreement. It's far too easy to say that it should be the woman's choice because it's her body. Men provide the cells to make pregnancy possible. Men can go through the same amouny of anxiety, stress, and anguish with pregnancy or abortion.
I just found out my wife is pregnant and I'm more nervous and anxious than she is.
Men are the one's working two jobs when the mother's take maternity leave for 8 weeks.
I'm sure that I won't run I out on my child when I have one(just can't do that) and yes I would like to have a say in wrather my child gets to see life or not. If she doesn't want him/her, we'll break up, I'll take him/her and raise it the best I can. I'll raise my baby no matter what.
I don't think anyone should have a say. Abortion is just plain wrong (unless the woman was raped, then she should have the option). Otherwise, both partners should have to live with the consequences of their stupidity. If they don't want a baby, then use condoms or birth control.
The man should have a choice about whether or not to pursue a course of action which could get somebody pregnant, and he does. I think his choice in the matter should end there. Of course, I also think that as long as abortion is legal and it's solely the woman's decision, a man that is not married to a woman at any point after she, via legal and consensual intercourse, gets pregnant should not have to pay child support unless he claims any custody. That part is, of course, not the way it works, as far as I know.

Thats why the woman can have the embryo taken out of her, and there you go.. It can be frozen so you can feel free to find the woman that wants to have that embyro..So this is why men should have a say? Because they HAVE to work TWO jobs while the mother dares to take maternity leave? Ridiculous. Some men don't have to work 2 jobs at all. If you can't afford a child when one comes along, that's unfortunate. But I wouldn't throw it in my wife's face that she gets to take maternity leave, especially not when she's the one carrying and delivering the baby.Men are the one's working two jobs when the mother's take maternity leave for 8 weeks.

A lot of people her are saying "It's her body..." but didn't she give up that right when she consented to unprotected sexual intercourse?MetalGear_Ninty
This. I think the father's opinion matters a lot. If the woman loves the man, she should at least consider his opinion on THEIR child.

indeed, she should atleast hear him out about it, but again as ive allready said, in the end it comes down to her choice, its her body and she has to go thru the pain and changes of havein a baby, not usIn the end I think it's up to the woman, but the man should should have some input, because it takes two to tango.kingyotoXActually no it doesn't a woman can be artificially impregnanted.

Dude, that makes no fing sense in the context of the debate. If you are stupid enough to go through with artificial insemination and then get an abortion, you deserve to be aborted.
Well then wait till the baby is 18years old for it to decide rather or not it wants to die ;)[QUOTE="Silenthps"][QUOTE="jazzkrotch"]
The "baby" is not physiologically/mentally capable of making such decisions in the womb until well beyond the option of an abortion is illegal- moot point.

Stopping life before it practically starts, and arguing about its "potential" relevance or significance is very silly. Think about it- "I should have made love harder with my ex-girlfriend, but because I didn't, now my lovechild will never be born. I will forever hate her for denying his/her existence!" Does this sound logical or reasonable?!
Of course it doesn't sound logical. because in situation one... you created life and in the second, you didn't. The first situation involves murder and the second doesn't... I don't see the point of that analogy.i think if the man doesnt agree the women shouldnt be able to have an abortion. but when it comes to having the kid it should be 100% women.Blitz_NemesisSo say that happens. Woman doesn't want to keep it, man does so we go with the guy on this one. The woman goes through 9 months of pregnancy and gives birth - which both my mum and aunty have said is the most painful thing they have ever experienced even with painkillers. The woman has to leave work for 8 weeks to care for a baby she still doesn't want. The man sticks around for a couple of months but decides kids are too much work and runs off with another woman. Seems like the woman got a great deal in this

Seems like the woman got a great deal in this  And the kid gets a great deal right? Getting aborted without a chance at life. Think about it, you could of easily been aborted. You and your entire life wouldn't of existed just because a women who was foolish enough to get pregnant didn't wanna give you a chance. No different from doing the crime and doing the time, a women should be prepared to sacrifice their time and body if they are going around and getting knocked up. Sure maybe it shouldn't be in the mans hands as to whether or not she has the kid or not but its his kid as much as it is hers. If hes against the abortion why shouldn't he have a say? Besides there is the possibility of the man running and leaving the women with the kids in any relationship, whether he wanted the kids or not.
